Ohh and it also fits a PTE 5857. The 5857turbo will sit about 3/8th of an inch from the head and the compresor will be about 1/8th of an inch from the runner 1 on the manifold.

I dont think the psi manifold will fit a 5857

I was thinking about exhaust manifold options for you, Dan.

Another manifold to consider is the Pag Parts bottom mount. I know its available in a V-Band turbine inlet but I think it might also be available in a T3 flange. It fits a 35R so I'm sure it'll fit the 5857 (compressor housings are both quite large). Talk to Jake at DW Garage about the Pag Parts manifold.

Maybe we can get a few people to meet up in Chambersburg (roughly half way to Dillsburg for me) or something after I get it finished. The Eliminator is sold. YGPM

get a beater and build it!

I'm beating around my old truck haha. everyone's like "wheres the Audi?" (not my close friends, they know whats up) and I tell them that I have the motor out and that I'm building it. they don't understand. Word is that I blew it up

i know the feeling, i have been driving my 91 accord around lately, the a4 was just in the body shop for almost 2 months after it got hit by a drunk driver... so its just been hiding in my friends garage. all my car buddies from my area think i sold it or its still wrecked... but i am doing what you are doing and pulling my motor out, probably later today, building the bottom end.. and getting the car ready for some fun this summer...

only problem is, i have been working on my 1988 nissan 240, i swapped in an rb20det from an early skyline gt-r, and i cant stop putting my money into it for some reason...

where are you in PA dan? i am in Pittsburgh....

that sucks about your A4 getting hit. people can be ridiculous. a really good buddy of mine has a 89 240. he has hella plans for it, but can't seem to save enough to start on it. I'd love to see your 240, that thing should be beast.

I'm like 1.5-2 hrs from Pittsburgh via turnpike. I'm at the bottom of Bedford County, about 15-20 mins from the MD line.

hell yeah its a quad, we do live in Pa lol

I have it worked over pretty good. nothing absolutely nuts, just enough so that I enjoy it lol. I have the Honda HRC kit it, Hydrodynamic A-arms, G-Force Axle, quad tech seat cover, SS brake lines, Pro Tapers... just a bunch of stuff lol. Where do you ride?

Awesome build Dan, when is your ETA for finishing? Its going to be a beast!

I'm driving around a 1986 Ford Ranger and sometimes my wifes Toyo Camry, I get the "where is the Audi?" question a lot too. I usually say something to the affect of "she is getting a new motor" or "getting motor work" etc... I always get "what is wrong with the motor now?" I love the blank looks when I tell them nothing was wrong with the motor, especially my wifes friends... they really do not get it. lol

eg6sir- I wanna see that 240 in person! nice quad, and nice A4, I like your look. I only have one really shitty pic of my quad. forgive me, I'll take a better one for you. We should meet up and ride sometime.

before the seat cover, obviously lmao

nien-reis- Thanks, I'm really hoping that I can have it out on the road in less than 2 months. yeah, its slightly annoying when people don't get it, and still ask because you know that no matter what you tell them, they still won't get it lol. Hopefully you get your mess sorted out soon with the trans/clutch, I wanna see vids of that beast and I'm hoping you get it dyno'ed! I think it'll make some seriously numbers.

@ itsmatt33. Yes it is an rb20det, stock turbo, and I like the stock 240 look, plus I really only plan to use the car for track days and the occasional rip around on
    a back road.

However I was going to put an HKS turbo kit on it, with the f-conV ecu setup. I believe that it uses a turbo similar to a 2871r.. Though I'm not 100% on that.

@dan. Yea man, we def. Need to ride sometime, and I would love to show you the 240 in person, maybe you could come out for an auto-x day at beaverun raceway this summer and I'll let you drive it..
