Just keep it in the garage like me. PA winter mode all year round
haha no shit. Nothing will break then. But it's so fun to drive with le cams. its damn near as fast at 18psi as it was at 28psi with the stock cams. I can't wait to get it more dialed in and crank the boost up.
could have sold you my 1000cc EV14s, dan, for half the cost of those IDs (and harness adapters and rail adapters were included) but sold them a few months ago on fleebay.
Idling on le big cams. Still need to work on the tune.
Nice.
Are you willing to share how you do your tuning? Most people seem kind of reluctant to share how they do their tuning, would be interesting to see how other people do it

Make a blanket change, and then small corrections.

I'll elaborate on this more when I have more time lol.
Hehe, yeah, that would be great, I was thinking more along the lines of first setting IC/KRKTE, then setting BVC/TVUB, then I am not sure what....
I set up all that stuff the same way that Chris explains how to in the Maestro thread. Then I log and make a small adjustment (no more than 10%) to a map or a specific value until the logs are showing what I want.
Then, my process is pretty simple. I'll use the Torque Control maps as an example.
Sine I have cams, I'll have to make adjustments to all the torque control maps. So what I do, is open all the maps, and add 10% to all the maps values that are positive, or not already maxed out. Then I'll flash the ECU, log, and then adjust all the fueling values and tables necessary. Once again flash the ECU, log, make adjustments, rinse and repeat. It gets quite extensive and hard to explain without pictures and such, but that is the basic concept of how I tune.
I want to get the tune dialed in with the cams on a stock throttle body, before I install my custom intake with 75mm throttle body.
I read this on the vortex, and it's a good explanation as to how I tune, since this guy uses pretty much the same concept.
Make a global change after you change your throttle body, flash it and let it idle. Keep making corrections to idle first since that's the easiest to set. Then find a nice stretch of road and try holding the throttle at each designated pedal position % cell and tune from there. A positive value means the car is anticipating more air then its getting so the end outcome is it having to pull fuel. Go into the corresponding cells and adjust accordingly in Alpha n and TB angle vs airflow and repeat until your dialed in. That's the best way I've gotten it to work.
"Sine I have cams, I'll have to make adjustments to all the torque control maps. So what I do, is open all the maps, and add 10% to all the maps values that are positive, or not already maxed out."
Is this based on logs?
How do you know which maps to use for what you want to adjust? For example for the cams (I have 3658s, so I need to do the same, I also run stock IM/TB, but plan to change that later)? You write all torque control maps, in no particular order, or? All based on histogram values from logs, or based on what?
Do you adjust fuel maps first (which fuel maps do you adjust), then torque control maps? In which order do you adjust which maps?
Lot of questions, sorry. Would appreciate an answer if you get bored in the tuning process again, hehe.. Car sounds mean

I'll write up something more detailed for you tomorrow, and maybe just send it to you in a PM rather than post it in here.
