    Bluetooth 'interference'?

    Hi everyone.

I just recently took ownership of a new 2010 A4 Sline. I'm really liking it so far.

I've noticed something yesterday and I wanted to see if this is normal or not before I bring it into the dealer. I have a 3Gs iPhone and I'm using hands free calling via bluetooth.

When I'm talking to someone via hands free, I hear a faint interference noise coming from the speakers. It's a very faint beeping noise that is heard when the other person is talking. The sound is more easily heard when the car is stopped because the road noise downs out the sound.

Is this just me or have others noticed this before?

    Thanks!
    Shawn

The sound quality is not perfect by any standard, however I do not hear any kind of "beeping" noises...

I would say try re-pair the phone to the car...

I found the quality in mine to be really good, maybe it's the B&O. I certainly never hear any noise.

Its Steve telling you that you need to purchase an Ipad. Built in feature of the Iphone.

I dont have any issues with my BT except with one buddy who has an Infinity with BT and an Iphone. Then i get a lot of noise and so does he. We cant seem to identify which phone/car it is.

Thanks for all the replies. I also have the B&O system as well.

I'll try and pair the phone again to see if the issue goes away.

No issues with my iPhone 3GS and Bluetooth here either...other than the occasional, random disconnect.

OK, I spent some more time with this and I figured it out.

First, I connected my wife's phone to the car and found that I did not hear the 'interference' noise at all. As NPuter suggested, I re-paired the device, but I still noticed the noise.

    Hmmm...
As I looked around at all the setting in the MMI, I noticed that the Call Volume was turned all the way up... and even while viewing this screen I could hear a high pitched noise coming from the speakers. I turned this volume back to middle and checked my phone's bluetooth volume. It was set very low. I turned my phone's bluetooth volume up to the maximum and made a phone call. Guess what... no noise. Well... there's still some noise... but it's the usual low fidelity sound quality. :)

Thanks again for all the replies.
