8.27 in 90*F heat the other day. I really need to start in 2nd for these runs because i dont hit full boost till past 60mph in 3rd. Sent the logs in.
That's still really fast considering your car is on pump gas and over 4k lbs with the way you made the run with passenger, wheels, amplifiers etc on low boost.

Have any of you guys tried to do a no shift pull in 4th only?
Running 31psi, on the 2.2L I5 in the RS2, I've I've got peak torque from 67mph in 4th gear (same ratios as B5 RS4 with 4.11FD and 1.03 4th).
60-90mph takes 2.61s in 3rd and 3.08s in 4th, the less than 0.5s advantage that 3rd gear would have is more than made up for by not having to shift. Not only does the shift itself take time, but with having to build boost again, a large chunk of time passes before the G's are back up. (No wonder the 997.2TT with PDK pulls such amazing times)
I would imagine the 2.7TT's being even better suited for a no shift pull, even though 4th is somewhat taller geared in the S4)
100-200km/h is where it's at over here, and I hit the limiter hard at 128mph or so, so I haven't gotten to time a 60-130. 100-200km/h (approx 62-125mph) is 7.62s, with 60-125 in 7.98s

Greetings to Norway and thanks for posting. It's nice to get some info from an RS2 owner! What turbo are you running? From what I've seen even with the 'quicker' spool of our 770 car it's still hard to get 4th gear to come on early enough. We have an RS4 trans and 4th gear makes it to about 143mph at just under 8500 rpm, and 3rd gear provides peak acceleration (according to the GPS) exactly at 60mph. I'm planning on attempting to limit the actual shift time and boost recovery (flat shift) instead of getting the system to handle huge amounts of torque delivered from a 4th gear 30+ psi boost spike.
It's worth trying though, as it has become the fastest way for many higher displacement turbo cars.
Not that it's an Audi but it's a good friend of mine who has the fastest car I've been in (except for maybe the Z06) He has a fully built gutted Volvo R with a GT2871R @ 1.8bar boost (26psi) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To23O...eature=related

We can see from the 605 graph that there is a gap of a little more than one second that passes from the shift is initiated until the G-Force is at the same level in the next gear. The shift itself takes much less time, but spool, inertia, etc plays a role.
With the RS4 box, it would most likely be quicker with a 4th only pull, but with the 6.5% longer 4th in the S4 box, it is probably faster using 3rd and 4th.

100-200kmh in 7.7 is most excellent :)
What was the ambient temp?
Weight of the car including driver?
With stock sized tires a B5 S4 should reach 130mph at approx 6950rpm (not considering possible tire deformation which should be close to zero at that speed anyway), so try to stay in 4th until 130mph.
Try a no shift 4th gear pull as well. Might be quicker.

How would a 250lbs passenger affect a 100-200 pull for someone who runs this time on it's own?
Would probably add around say 0.5 or 0.6s.
NA would suffer more than FI since the added weight would make the turbo spool at a slightly lower rpm, offsetting some of the weight gain

I looked back at my fastest 60-130 so far. My car did a 7.2 100-200kmh. I found a meth leak that was causing my IATs to go too high. Also looking into trying to free up the intake tract with either a RS4 Intake Manifold or modifying the stock and doing a 80mm TB.
What kinda of mixture do you run with the 109? Cause I read on the Sunoco site that 109 is not supposed to be in the tank for more then 24hrs , I'm gonna get some 109 soon but was wondering how much to put in!
Audi_S4: currently running AWE with EBC, i didnt shift past 7k
Espen W: thanks, temps were mid-upp 60s, i weigh 160, car is about 3600
Evilevo: whats your 60-130? GTs should be hitting low 6s. Which GTs are you running from Mike/Vast?
My car did a 8.2 60-130 at like 26-27psi on pump/meth.
I am still trying to figure out some stuff with my car. Mike@VAST says it isnt making the power it should be, so we are looking into changing some stuff like the intake manifold and throttle body and see if that helps.

I am on 2871R/Agtronic kit.
I would have expected a better time for your car, but remember that ditching the passenger will save approx 0.5s.
Do you have Mustang dyno #'s for your car.
What is your 60-90, 60-100, 60-120mph and 100-200km/h times?
Also, did you stay in 4th until 130mph or did you shift into 5th?

For some reason my car isnt making the power it should be. We think there is a restriction in either my intake or exhaust setup that is holding it back. We are looking into that now.
The best FATS my car has done is a 2.8 with 1 passenger. Not sure about the 60-100 or 60-120, and right now I am too lazy to open up my logs, lol. my 100-200kmh i posted above, i think it was a 7.2
I also found that my meth injection was leaking somewhat, so that might have been affecting it too.
