DIY Ambiance Lighting (Full time adjustable foot lighting)

finally managed to retrofit the footwell lights on my 09 plate Audi A5, thanks to everybody contributed in this thread making it so helpful..

i've one question.. where did you connect the glovebox positive if you don't want to go the OEM way ?

I found the ETKA such lights are half the price $ 10 8J0 947 409

So i managed to get this working in 2 mins with my non nav 2012 A4.

Now there are not bright at all, not what I would love to have. So I see two options and I would need some advice.

1) Swap the existing LED with a set of high power LEd's.

2) The option i see the most likely have the result and options is to add led's to the same ambiance lighting power source. I could get a led's strip like the following one and still controlle the brightness with the MMI. like this (dont mind the light show they have in the gallery, just a brighter led )

I think the 2nd option would give me more options, if ever i want to add lights elsewhere.
