Just found this, as I normally post on audiforums, and I've personally been out of the car scene in the area for a couple years, but recently getting back into it. I have 2001 Audi A4, live at the beach, been here my whole life.

Bass Pro was broken up about 2 months ago. For a while, they were letting people go there, but the cops told us that they complained when some Honda folks were peeing on customers cars.

Hey everyone, I'll be moving to the area in a couple of months. My wife is being stationed at the Oceana NAS so we will be getting an apartment close to there. It's good to see there are some people in the area who are not afraid to show their faces lol. We have a pretty good group here in Cincinnati.

Oh the topic of moving down there, does anyone recommend any apartments close to the base that are military friendly? Any help would be appreciated, we are stressing out trying to find one that has good reviews that isnt over priced.

Pretty much anything in Hampton Roads is "military friendly," but I live on the peninsula, so I cant help you with that area.

Welcome. This forum is just getting going, and I have only met up with one other driver so far, but hopefully we can get the ball rolling. I meet with VW folks almost twice a week, so sometime after you get here, let me know when you want to roll.

Pretty much everywhere in Va Beach is 20 minutes from everywhere else, so you may do better to look a little further away from the base in Va Beach. You will probably be better off renting a house with a garage. Check like in the Salem or Strawbridge areas.

Plus 1 for Cars and Coffee. Also Jenro's is a bit of fun, but more old and American cars, but I've been going to that one long before I even bought my Audi. I am not really interested in showing my car so much as looking at old cars and enjoying a nice show.

Hey thanks! I would much rather rent a house with a garage but those are harder to find on the internet, or I'm just not looking in the right place. Were looking for something in the $800-950 range.
