Those are DBA rotors, and I bought them from tirerack.
I weighed the aluminum ones and they came out to be 16lbs on my digital home scale. They are deff lighter than steel but then again I'm gaining weight with those massive rotors so ill take what I can.
if your going through all oft the trouble rebuilding the car i would definity go with some k04s.
yeah you might as well sell the k03's and pick up a used set of k04's. Trust me you are going to want to in the future and you will be kicking yourself for not doing them now.

Why did you go with Stern uppers control arms and not even have coilovers?
Because I will buy the coilovers in the future. And plus even without the lowering of the car I can adjust the camber up front to be more neg than the rear.

Not practical in my situation. I'm building a block from the ground up and putting tials on. The K03s are just to hold me over until the block is ready. It would be stupid to buy K04s and proper fueling and inlets just to have to upgrade from that in the future. Wasted money.

Yup, that makes perfect sense. Shoulda said somthing about the tials tho lol.

Yeah that is a good idea. I'm debating on whether to spend on the fueling or save for Tial's.
I got dem K04's to replace the ded K03's, but I'm on a VERY conservative tune (I pulled back boost to 15psi with Lemi, no i'm not getting knock or major timing pulls).
Plus all the I could find was BWs and they were like 1200 used or slightly less with some miles on them, plus car would drive like ass compared to a proper tuned K03 car. Getting them rebuilt is gonna cost 550 shipped for both of them. So financially it makes sense as well as peace of mind until my built engine is ready to drop in.
Ps I didn't mention the tials because I was going to make a build thread when the time is right. I just wanted to post up all the crap I'm doing now to get this car above 100% working condition.

And again why would you want that? Good to hear Coilovers are in the plans for the future..
Looking good. I was going to rail you for putting in K03's, but your plan makes sense. Do you have any pics of the front suspension bolted in?
Haha yeah I said K03s and that's pretty much an open book for the bashing comments to commence. But as you read its cost effective as well as practical in my situation. No pics of it all bolted in but I will post pics as the new parts come in and on the car. I've spent a lot and I mean a lot of time lately just trying to clean as much of the damn car as I could. Just keep an eye out for this thread because as the car becomes finished I should have some nice digi pics up of the arms, new driveshaft turbos and clutch as well as those sexy 13.4 in DBA Rotors
And yes car not being built for dd use at all, nore do I plan on putting those kind of miles on the car, it will deff see some track days at sebring, daytona, and miami raceway once completed.

"poper fueling" would be all interchangable minus the tune...which you wouldnt even need if you just have a stg1-2 chip.
That may be true I'm not sure. But I'm shooting for 550 whp with the built block. I really don't want to be buying injectors and mafs appropriate for one and not the other. Plusi don't want to spend all the dough on K04s when I'm buying tials. End of that story just stupid and a throw away of money.
Stephen, Glad you got the uprights! Everything looks awesome!
You picked out an exhaust yet? I'm having a amazing fab guy I know making me a 3.0(or 3.5)in aluminum exhaust for my personal s4. 3in is going to run just a hair under 800 bucks. Full 3in with aluminum muffler and dual 2 1/4 AL tips. Full exhaust is going to weigh just under 10 lbs.

Yeah I got an awesome fab shop as well so either custom 3.5 with flowmaster or GMG 3.5
Haven't decided yet. That will be the last thing I buy on the list.
Aluminum knuckles in replacement of what used to be steel. saved 12lbs in the process ea side
General consensus is that these are 6 lbs. lighter per side, so let us know once you weigh them. I got my alum. uprights on order too.
"Understeer is when you hit the wall with front of the car...oversteer is when you hit it with the rear...
...Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall...torque is how far you take the wall with you"
I did weight them on my household digital scale and they came in at 16lbs. The only other option I had would be to take them to publix and weigh there to. The guy that sent them got like 16.8 so it comes out to about 12lbs saved each side because the steel ones are about 28lbs.
Cool, I will have to pay them a visit. Im looking to go 3.5" aswell. There is also supposed to be a guy off Ulmerton that does really nice work that i was going to look into.
Bout 3 weeks left till all the parts come in. Waiting on one massive pallet to arrive with all my goodies. And a few other shipments from 034 and JHM and back to re assemble it all.
Only thing slowing the process is waiting for the 034 downpipes.
