Does Right Side Mirror Turn Down in Reverse?
Tried a quick search, couldn't find anything.
I have a Premium Plus being built in Mar, does anyone know if the the RH mirror folds down in R? I have this feature in my 07 A4 3.2 and find it a must for parallel parking. Would be nice if the S4's mirrors folded in electronically, too. And memory seats. But I guess they had to delete these to keep the base price down. It would be nice to have though, as separate options, as I would have paid a few extra bucks for them.

No, but there is a Vag-Com hack where if you have the mirror selector on the driver's door turned to the passenger mirror it will dip - but not return to position.
Like a surgeon with a scalpel, my S4 is a precision instrument, with which I carve and dissect my way through traffic.

What a bummer, that option will be sorely missed.

Many are not happy with the small cost cutting measures (like motorized fold in mirrors and headlamp washers going away)

In Canada, yes we have it. You just need to turn the mirror selector switch to right and it does tilt down the right mirror when you are in reverse. If you leave it in middle position it overwrites this feature.
/EDIT
Seems to be an option in conjunction with memory seats.

DAMN! Now I'm sorry I didn't get the 335is J/K. But I have had that feature on my B6 S4 and e92 335i. I will really miss that. It comes in very handy when parking. DAMN! no rear park control with the Premium + either. Just a matter of time until I curb the wheels

How do you get it to go back?

You use the joystick to reposition it...

I have that feature. I use it all the time.
Thats weird that Canada gets it and not the US.

I have this feature in an unmodified US car, the mirror selector has to be set on the passenger mirror for it to automatically activate when in reverse. The car is Prestige with Driver Assist, if that matters.

To get the mirror to return automatically from the dipped reverse position:
Fully optioned B6 3.0 USP
After reversing and parking (leave the mirror selected on the passenger side).
Driving away later: Car senses forward movement, after ~5seconds it recognizes the dip is not needed and will return to its regular position (you can leave the mirror selected on passenger side).
I havn't used this feature in a while as I have no need for it, and it became slightly nagging to have it dip everytime you went in reverse (as it is not needed for every reverse situation).
It is surprising they took away these luxury features on the new S4 though.... ? You would assume the features would stay the same, hopefully this helps. Give it shot.
Have a good one gents.

As I said, this feature works fine on my new 2010 S4. Is it only included with the Driver Assist package now?

So many variations across the globe.EU cars had it built in if the vehicle had the memory seats. If not, its a vag com tweak, but with a manually operated action via the joystick to return to normal

Sounds like that might be the case - or perhaps with the memory function of seats on Prestige? Def not on my P+ with Nav and backup camera.

I vagged it and it does come back up but not to exactly the same position as before but close enough after a few seconds of driving.

I believe if you have Prestige in the US, your mirrors will tilt automatically without you having to VAGcom. However maybe it's Audi Driver Assist that grants you this tilting feature not Prestige? Anyone want to clarify?
If I am correct that tilting mirrors are for Prestige cars only, Premium Plus owners must VAGcom their car to enable this feature. My question, which I'm not sure there is a solution to is...Is there a way to get the mirror to return to the original position? Currently, the mirror only goes back up part way and is a little low for my height.
