The motor is ready to drop in. Just waiting on cat cams to get back to us to see what they want to do with the issues i had with the cams. so its all assembled except for the cams.
Interior is fully done waiting for everything to be done before it goes in. so nothing can go wrong with it.
I will just have one stock seat installed in the car until the paint and the engine are done with.
U think the car will run with the whole interior out.. and just one driver seat plugged in.
loool what should i doo! they make bomb power. and the guys over at cat cams are going to replace some of my parts cost, for all the bent valves it caused....
My builder told me that he is going to make a dowel pin to help the cam gear from slipping.
What are my options.
i dont want to cough up more $$$ on cams when i didnt even have them in my engine for longer than 2 months
Go with Schrick!!!! Cat Cams make good power but are SHIT for reliability not to mention they have no clue to what customer service is and they do not stand by there product. DTH if I am not mistaken carries Schrick Cams

AHHHH thats more money to waste... fuk. i have been in contact with Luther (i not sure how to spell his name) over at cat cams. He was not being as much of a asshole as the first guy i was speaking to months ago wen the issue occurred.
They asked me to take pictures and what not of the cams. and use a blue dye to see how well the cam gear actually contacts/sits on the back...... and the results... lol all i can say is wow. that's def not en off contact/pressure now i can see why they blew up.
Here are 2 pics... the contact points are where ever there is no blue dye. (we sprayed the back of the cam with the blue dye, and we just pressed and turned the adjustable cam gear by hand.
whats going on with your shit Diego.. u figure out the fueling issues and what not? what are some up dates.. when you going for a dynooo session.
Fueling has been solved !! Overkilled to be correct lol check your PM

I did not know Cat was doing something for you, Coran. Push them for this is a major design flaw that they should publicly acknowledge. Everyone else I know that has blew up those cams has gotten zero help. In the end it is up to you to take the risk of putting them back in the car.

That is a major design flaw.
Personally, I would not take that risk even if your mechanic found a way to 'fix' the cams. They shouldn't need a 'fix' if they were designed properly.

i totally agree Doug, i really hope they do something about the issue because as u can see from the 2 photos, the adjustable cam gear doesnt only really contacts the back of the cam around the edge, its horrible.
i will keep you guys posted with what cat cams is going to do for me...
maybe it would b a good idea to get everyone who has had problems with these cams to write a quick paragraph regarding what we think the issues are, and what has happened with our experiences with there products. Maybe that will open up there eyes a little and take there heads out of there asses. This is clearly a problem that has been going on for sometime now, and we as customers need to keep pushing company's to help us resolve the problems not only for us, but for people who purchase their products in the future. Company's claim there products are flawless and work perfectly and say they will warranty their product.... till an issue occurs and they just ignore you. I made sure my voice was heard i called a majority of times, and finally i got my builder to do the rest of the talking..
I think if we got a bunch of you who have had problems with the cams to write a short paragraph on what happened and issues and what not.
All the people that got screwed by Cat should get a class action law suit together....

Amazing build! I love the craftmanship done on those fenders. I am sorry hear about the CAT cam situation. It's BS if you ask me. Anyway, I will be following your thread!
The procedure for filing a class action is to file suit with one or several named plaintiffs on behalf of a proposed class. The proposed class must consist of a group of individuals or business entities that have suffered a common injury or injuries. Typically these cases result from an action on the part of a business or a particular product defect or policy that applied to all proposed class members in a uniform manner. After the complaint is filed, the plaintiff must file a motion to have the class certified. In some cases class certification may require additional discovery in order to determine if the proposed class meets the standard for class certification.
Upon the motion to certify the class, the defendants may object to whether the issues are appropriately handled as a class action, to whether the named plaintiffs are sufficiently representative of the class, and to their relationship with the law firm or firms handling the case. The court will also examine the ability of the firm to prosecute the claim for the plaintiffs, and their resources for dealing with class actions.
Due process requires in most cases that notice describing the class action be sent, published, or broadcast to class members. As part of this notice procedure, there may have to be several notices, first a notice giving class members the opportunity to opt out of the class, i.e. if individuals wish to proceed with their own litigation they are entitled to do so, only to the extent that they give timely notice to the class counsel or the court that they are opting out. Second, if there is a settlement proposal, the court will usually direct the class counsel to send a settlement notice to all the members of the certified class, informing them of the details of the proposed settlement.
I know that FEDERAL class action law suits are typically only eligible if the damages are $5,000,000+.. That's not to say that STATE class action law suits are not that way, but many states follow the federal guidelines. The best thing you can do at this point is talk to an attorney. I'd help you guys out, but I'm not quite through law school yet ^_^ but yeah.. consult an attorney and talk to them about filing a class action suit.. Best thing you can do at this point if you guys are looking for help from this problem, and if many people are being screwed over by this company.
