I would love to go to this too. I just looked up flight prices for shits and giggles and i'm surprised that the cheapest to belgium is through brussels so you'd still have to take a bus/train to antwerp and the flight alone is $1500. Ouch.. I was figuring you could get something around 1K

As for EDC, I would love to go to that too but i've listened to all the recorded sets from EDC and Ultra 2011 and the ones from Ultra are much better.. Maybe Miami is where it's at?

I think the tickets are so expensive cause it is basically a year out. Once the dates get closer maybe April, May and even June plane tickets will be much cheaper at that time. I went to Europe 2 years ago and experienced the same thing when looking into tickets so early. I managed to get round trip tickets for about $800 at that time. So don't think it is out of the question to go.

I was gonna go to EDC until about a week ago when I found out a friend is getting married on June 9th, tossing around the idea of getting 2 plane tickets to Vegas and making a crazy weekend out of it, if this happens I won't go to Tomorrowland.

watched someone OD at the Shpongle show in NYC on Friday night. Guy fell over, got up woozy, then his head went back, eyes rolled back, and started gargling/shaking..

I was tripping balls on mushrooms with 2 other GCCr's and this happened right next to us, then his friends dragged him away towards the bar. No idea how it ended up.. I felt bad for the dude but the kind of irresponsibility required in order to do that to yourself pisses me off as well. He freaked a lot of people out, naturally, since that kind of show brings a lot of people who are already hallucinating as it is and don't need that kind of energy around them!

Saw someone die at Bonnaroo 2010 during the deadmau5 show too..

i see it happen all the time, not as much now a days compared to years ago. think thats because a lot of the newer kids in the scene kinda know about the effects. but back several years ago at my first rave, a kid overdosed right next to me (literally) while at pete tongs stage. was dancing 1sec, then dropped like a sack of potatoes, started to seizure on the ground, then just stopped moving...his group of friends were screaming for the emergency team and i bolted out that stage asap. tripped me out, dont think he died though because they must report deaths and there wasnt any reports. the whole night i was seeing paramedics with stretchers going all over the venue.

i dont feel sorry for them, actually the opposite.

@ Calabria- Sweet setup! Are you mixing manually at this point or are you running it through any software? I was messing around without software on a friend's djm 800+ cdj2000's and I felt that analog mixing really restricted me from effectively lining up the drops like I can with my midi controller+software.

i have serato just because my friend has that software and gave it to me and its easier to have all my music stored on my laptop then having thousand of cds. ya i felt the same with analog being restricting, but im getting more used to it.
