I would like to begin in saying the we are now a Full Advertiser here on Audizine and we greatly look forward to serving the Audi Community here on Audizine

We have decided to create a thread that we will continually maintain and up-date with what we here at RSW call "Shop Life". It will portray the day-to-day customer work, projects, events and anything else we find worthy of the Audizine Community.

Some pictures from recent work we have had in the shop...

On this FSI engine the owner is running a Upgraded Turbo system that utilizes a GT3071 Turbocharger. In his quest to make more power and go faster, RSW is currrently upgrading the Stock OEM engine Internals with Forged Rods, custom JE pistons, and ARP's newly released Head Studs for some extra clamping force. Were hoping that he will really be able to lay down both good power and some solid track times.

Now on with some pictures :laugh:









Pistons are out ! We are about to start filing the new rings to get the new JE Pistons into the engine.



The white MKV GTI we Installed a nice set of FK coilovers on the previous day, had her inside tucked in for the night :P



Been installing quite a few APR HPFP, and all I can say is what a beautiful product.

Can't beat a timely install, and a quick re-flash and seeing a customers eye's light up as they rip down the street in front of the shop!

Had a customer's car in the shop the other day and this was on the windshield... DAAAMMMMNNN



Had this B7 in the shop for an estimate on a APR stage 3 and a little special sauce engine build...



A set of Custom Spec JE Forged Pistons and Brute rods ready for installation...



Finally for today some headers ready to go into one of our customer's porsches





Had a beautiful 2006 Porsche Cayman S in the shop for a few days. Installed entire new APR Exhaust System which included Headers, Cat deletes, and new mufflers. We also flashed a Fully Loaded ECMS upgrade. The owners was amazed with the quality of the upgraded power and the sound of the exhaust !

Can't beat the $15,000 Carbon Ceramic Brake Upgrade!


OEM exhaust system out, looks pretty good for only 11,000 miles on it.

Did some diagnosis on an older E Class Benz


Installed a few sets of coilovers this week



Completely Rebuilt the entire Suspension on this Mark 4. Coils, sways, wheel bearings / hubs, control arm bushings. She rides tight like prom night !




Late night last night working on our new employees Evo. His Triple Disc Clutch setup was starting to fall apart, I guess 700AWHP will do that





Since we broke our Trans jack and are still waiting for the new one to come we put Shrek (JR) to work !

We got our new Miller TIG machine all setup with our Water-Cooler....

02Q pulled apart for inspection... Everything looked to be in order, just waiting on the Differential to show up. Hopefully the Quaife works well

On another note, we are now an AUTHORIZED Aquamist Distributor. Had a nice conversation with Richard @ Aquamist UK this week and we will now be able to offer their full line of Alcohol Injection systems. The Aquamist system by far surpasses all of the Alcohol kits currently on the market !

We are also building the engine, installing a set of upgraded Rods, installing a Peloquin with a South Bend Stage 4 Clutch System with a Solid Un-Sprung Clutch Disc.

The GTI's new FMIC ... No cutting involved, she just slips right in !




We did a custom cat delete section for the customer, he can now swap the cat in and out of the exhaust with ease via the v-banded section !


The Turbo Installed, fits rather nicely, don't you wish they came this way from the factory





We did a full ECU Upgrade on this B6 S4, and installed a Intake for the customer about a week ago, man that v8 really sounded much better with just the intake system on it !



In our quest to run better times at the track with our GTi we decided that we were going to replace the flimsy rubber control arm mounts with these solid much more beefy rebuildable bearings! The car really hooks up with these. We are going to offer an Installation Special on them once we give them our seal of approval ! They really tighten the front end of the vehicle up, give you a bit more road feel. I think JR wants to replace all the OEM Stock Suspension Bushings all around the vehicle soon.

We had this '97 993 S in the shop the other day, had to perform some diagnostic work on it, and unfortunately for the owner things aren't looking good!

A set of 3 piece 19x9.5 and 18x8 wheels that were just done for a customers NSX. The lips are colored matched to the vehicle. The NSX will be in the shop for some repair work early this coming week, we can't wait to see what the wheels look like on the car...



Set of OEM BIG BRAKES for a customers Mark 5, should complement the APR Stage 3 we recently installed on his vehicle !



Looks like a new turbo for one of the shop cars ! Should have her running again tonight, will be nice to see how she feels with a freshly re-built transmission!

Had this VR ripped apart for a heater core last week, it may just end up with an HTA 35R on it as well

Now on to something a bit more exciting, we currently have a GLI in the shop receiving a Full APR S3 ED 30 Turbo Kit along with a Wave Track Differential





Valves don't look too bad, we have seen ALOT worse....

Waiting on JR for that, I want to do it big with a 90MM... only thing is i've heard of people having idling issues from my due diligence on this upgrade. I believe i have the 172MM Crank pulley coming to me... invoice says 180MM so if it's 180MM i'll have a little more power with a lot more heat soak! I have the supersprint headers on the way, and the HE/Pump. Let me know how the TB goes. What else can we fab up at the shop??

FSI CARBON BUILD UP from a vehicle with under 60k and Upgraded Turbo System, this cylinder head showed "Mild" Build up compared to other vehicles we have serviced

Un-Cleaned Valves Removed from Cylinder Head





Sea Foam Cleaning on Two Valves while they were still in the Cylinder Head VS. Un-cleaned



These Two Valves were Sea Foamed while still in the head, as you can see its still difficult to clean the back sides



Sea Foam Clean Ports while head was still fully assembled VS. Un Cleaned Ports





As you can see from the pictures a Sea Foam Treatment Service to clean the cylinder head / valves only works to an extent ! Cylinder head is currently being steam cleaned, all the valves will be fully cleaned and re installed with new Valve Guide Seals.

No we do not, There is no need to unless you are going with a Oversized Piston and or there is damage that needs to be reparied by a Machine shop

Yes we can get many different brands! We do not recommend repairing bent wheels becuase they will actually crack overtime from reforming the aluminum. Email or PM us for more details..
