    2x LED ballast
    2x D3S xenon bulb
    2x signal bulb
    All mounting tabs & brackets

I noticed the adapter harness is not included in the kit. Do I need this harness? If so, where do I get one or two? Thanks
Yes, you need an adapter. Double check with Jens to make sure he didn't include one, he usually does.
If not, you can buy it from Kufatec's website. You only need to order one - it is one adapter that has plugs for both sides...

Thanks NPuter. I have placed an order with Kufatec last night and Jens confimed that his kit includes the harness this morning.
Kufatec doesn't accept return items except if it is a defect. Can I use the adapter for LED tailight conversion? If not, I dont know what to do with the extra set of harness.

Sorry about that . The adapter has absolutely nothing to do with the rear lights, so your only option is to try and sell it...

Did you try and cancel it? Sometimes you can cancel your order if it hasn't shipped. I'm sure you'll be able to sell it if you can't. Keep an eye on the forum and on the classifieds for anyone selling HID lights as you may be able to sell your harness along with them.

The currently order status listed as "Processing". I didn't find any cancel my order button on any of the page. I have sent an email to Kufatec to ask them cancel my order. I'm not sure you would answer my request.

Just refuse the shipment when it arrives. They'll have to refund you. You may loose on shipping but it's better than getting stuck with it.

On a different subject, any one wants to sell their halogens? Please PM me.

    Thanks.

I got an email from Kufatec and they were saying there is a 15% restocking fee for cancel order this morning. Then there is another email from UPS saying the item has been shipped and on its way here. Can I get all my money back by posting the hardness on this forum? I paid $80+ includes shipping.

Agree, refuse shipment. They cannot charge restocking, if it was never even opened or signed for.
Actually, you should call UPS and see if they will just return to the server now.

I did spoke to UPS rep and they told me the package must be delivered with first attempt before UPS can offer any options. I hope the delivery guy is not going to leave the package at the door.

    Guys,

What platform of our computer in our A4 B8? I was just wondering whether we can figure out a way to lock the code, so the dealer wont be able to overwrite the setting of the system. I know it's not expensive to do the recoding, but it's a pain in the butt to bring the car back to the shop for recoding everytime the dealer overwrites the program. It has to be a way to do this, to gain access to the source code of our B8 program and permanently edit the code for our headlights & tailights.

I see most people aren't doing the auto-leveling retrofit along with the LED/HID conversion. Do the housing still have the ability to be manually aimed so its not blinding people? Has anyone actually done the auto-leveling retrofit?

TR464 (Thorsten) has done the auto leveling retrofit.
However, the lenses can be manually aimed on the horizontal and vertical axis.

Just curious if this would work on a 2012 A4 premium or does it have different coding?

It should work. Make sure to ONLY, and I emphasize ONLY, change the 4 bytes stated in this thread. And do not ever copy paste someone else's code. Your premium model and another's premium model may have different options, so a few bits may be different in the long coding.

maverick ** do you mind telling me where you found the pins at? i didn't realize the pins didn't come with my order from Jens. i'm hoping i can get them somewhere stateside.

in addition, can someone clarify the numbering system for each pin. the instruction pdf states for the driver side (17 -pin brown connector pin 3). am i plugging the wire into pin-3 of the brown connector?

also, if anyone with a manual is interested, i found a way to feed the wires through the firewall since the hole most of you have is the clutch actuator. i know there was one other member that ran into the same issue.

A friend of mine has a MY2010 A4 (09 built) and would like to change their J519 controller as well.

Would the J519 controller with the "D" suffix work for this model car, as it does for 08 built cars, or does he need the controller with the "N" suffix?

If someone can help me ASAP, that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

If I plan on going the self leveling route, does anyone know if it will automatically self level or do I have to define the initial level position and from then on the lights will level to that position? Are people not using the self leveling feature because it was difficult or because it cost a extra 500 dollars?

You have to adjust the basic settings with VCDS, otherwise you'll have an error and the leveling system won't work - the procedure is described in VCDS.

I didn't do it for both reasons: It takes a lot more effort and the cost is fairly significant. I also find no reason to have it nor do I desire it.

I was hoping i could get some help with my conversion from halogen to xenon :) .... almost done just need to know were these little wires go for the LEDS and do i need to flash my car?????

I was wondering if you could explain to me what else needs to be done.
-Were do the wires go to power the leds?
-Does the car have to be remapped at the ECU
-Everything but my Leds and Highbeems are working
-I baut the adapter to convert the halogen plugs to the xenon and there is a little wire coming off of each one. Do you know were is goes?

Thank you for your time and help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time and help would be greatly appreciated!

anyone have photos of the under-dash connectors and how they wired them? Looked through the thread and did not see any.
are the #3 and #9 pins on the two connectors empty or can you splice into the exisiting wires? are they Left and Right specific?

the kufatec adapters have two long bare wires (no pins, both yellow)
thanks for all the work on this mod asu daniel, nputer and others!

I am fairly certain they are left/right specific. There should be pins attached to the end of the wires. (That is how mine came) However, there have been reports that some people received their's without the pins. You have to order the pins and attach them to the wires. The terminals on the connector are empty.
