Daytona Grey S5 mods

Very, very nice car!! Looks awesome!! I've a A4 Avant Daytona with dark-grey wheels, looks a bit different and more agressive (is my idea). Only youre car is mare then 2 times bigger and got 2 times more cillinders, the colour is the same!!! LOL

I got some new goodies today! I'm really excited as I've been waiting for some of these parts for a while. Anyways, I plan on installing them this weekend but in the meantime I thought I'd post a few teasers

ECODES!!:

Stasis Rear Sway Bar:

And finally, FOLDING MIRRORS! I plan on retrofitting these in and will post a DIY if all goes well. I read on a5oc that someone had to get his door modules reflashed to the 08 firmware but I got the modules along with the mirrors so I'm going to try a swap. The mirrors also have the side assist on them so I won't lose that functionality.

WOW thats awesome dude (the folding mirrors) how much were they? thats the one thing i think Audi messed on when makin the S models... You should be able to fold the side mirrors automaticaly when u lock the car like Benz.

i think at least the euro models for 08-09 had this feature. maybe even US models. i remember at the audi driving experience i went to someone had an S5 there and the mirrors folded when they were walking away. def a cool feature.

In essence, the ecodes are European spec headlights. No difference in functionality perse other than the fact they don't have the amber strip on the outside of the lights (like the US ones do).

E-codes are the stock headlight housings for european spec cars. They don't have the amber side marker the headlight here in the states have. They make for a much cleaner looking front, subjectively.

there is actually a couple of slight differences in function:

1) euro's have the inner city lights as parking lights, US cars use the amber side lights
2) the low beam cutoff line is slightly different between US and Euro headlamps

question regarding ecodes

nobody tried to take out amber instead of paying for a whole new headlight? or is it just not possible to take out?

also regarding the ecodes, i dont know if this is the case on the S5 ones (i will say i thought i MIGHT? have noticed a tiny difference- but maybe that was just the cutoff line) , but my A4 ecodes were much brighter, as the projector was better in that housing.

and you cant really get the amber out of these without wrecking them- or so has been discovered thus far. they will leak, fog, etc. if you try from what i hear.

Well and concerning the ecodes. I have driven both - US spec A5/S5 and Euro spec A5/S5. It is not only a beauty thing - euro spec xenons definitely have a better lightpoutput and a better low beam cutoff in my opinion. By the way - I have a set of complete genuine A5/S5 xenon ecodes for sale for a good price. Maybe someone is interested.

The more I see them, the more I'm unsure of whether I like them. I'm kinda of liking the current non-led lights I have on my car more.

The set that I have came from GMG and are ET25. I know that Wheel Experts used some different offsets for a set they did for ranger22, but I'm not sure what those were.
