Its impossible to comprehend, but that is true. I would say because it is the original, the altitude? and probably magic.
I would definitely have to agree with magic. I own a goldmine in Idaho Springs so I always have to stop there, You can also get extremely good candy and treats up there!
but i'd say pass on new belgium tour. i know its dope, but they're hardly a microbrewery. go to like left hand, get a nitro milk stout. it'll blow your fucking mind... go to oskar blues in lyon... i've never been there since i work in longmont (and they have a brewery in longmont too) but OB and LH are my favorites.
and if you're gonna be riding breck you should PM me n we can ride together/ grab a beer i'm up there a lot
I'm pretty much playing powder roulette while I'm here. Whichever mountain has the best snow come 5AM, I'm there. And by whichever mountain, I mean whichever Vail Resort mountain - damn Epic Pass, limiting me to only certain mountains.
I"m probably passing on New Belgium when we get in tomorrow, but definitely going to hit up Idaho Springs on the way up the hill. It'll be a start.
question for you guys. i'm having one hell of a hard time diagnosing the cause of my shaky brakes. I have the brembo gt bbk front and rear. i'm getting increasingly terrible brake shudder. i've pulled the rotors off and had them checked/asked to turn them, shop said not warped. the pads were pretty low, but not gone. had new pads put in and bedded them in per brembo instructions.
the brakes felt better for maybe 100 miles or so, and slowly but surely the shakes come back again. pulled the pads out again, just to see if i missed anything, seemed okay. put it all back together and the brakes again felt fine for about 100ish miles. then got shaky again. if you push the pedal lightly, the shake seems worse. if you get pretty aggressive, almost to lockup, the shake is there, but not nearly as bad.
wheel bearings maybe? they don't sound noisy, and it's not shaky at any time except while on the brake pedal.
abs acting funky? when the car is almost to a complete stop, you can really feel a pulsing. brake pedal is held steady, but if feels like you are pushing/letting off/pushing letting off. i'd say it does this from about 15mph to 0.
this is driving me crazy. maybe i'll take the rotors off again and to a different shop to have them checked. i just don't get why it would be smooth for a while, then get shaky, if the rotors are indeed warped. not to mention, these huge 355x32 2 piece rotors have to take a ton of abuse before they were to warp. i have the same exact bbk on my evo that is road raced and beaten on 24/7 with no problems. halp!

Well new belgium is now the 8th biggest brewery in America so you're right, hardly a microbrew anymore but it definately was a decade ago when I moved to FoCo. It still feels like a microbrew though, except that tours are usually booked out a week in advance.

Have you tried loading the wheel bearings and testing the brakes? Go somewhere that you can drive in circles and then press on the brakes while you're turning. If they feel "spongy" or you get more pedal travel than you do braking in a straight line, it is most likely the wheel bearings. Otherwise, I'm not sure... maybe get a second opinion on the rotors...
Another random questions because I couldn't get it answered; what is the average time a shop should charge for a complete control arm swap, all 4 uppers and lowers? Any ballpark would be appreciated, thanks!
It's difficult to recall exactly since I had other work done at the same time but Bluewater charged about 3 hours to do mine.
01.5 Brilliant Black S4 avant - JFonz 2+ / Piggies+SSAC / X34 intake / ST coils / Podi Stepper / A8 flat fives yeah it's a tip
can anybody recommend a place to get my taillights tinted/painted - which ever is better?
Just do it yourself with Nite Shades. Very easy to spray on in very light coats, over and over, until you get the darkness you are looking for. Or hell, you can pay me to do it!
Wooo! I am so excited. 3 day rager in Vegas with a euro show included? Sold! You'll wanna book your hotel room soon if you haven't already. They're filling up fast!
Agreed! It'll be the first part of a big vacation for me. Going to hit Moab on the way back and just chill for a bit. Hopefully this trip to Vegas turns out better than the last...
