Re: New Surgery: Fog Lights with DTM Bumper
I know
Pictures are better than a 1000 words
Here are the 2 different types
and this (the one I used in the DIY)
You can clearly see that the attach points are different
Does it make more sense now?

Cool.... But if you just "glue" the light to the grill, then it wouldn't rally matter which one of the two you use ? The fogs pretty much look the same except for the mountings (as you mentioned).

Not really, the one on the second picture are the one you need because of the location of the level adjustment screw

Ok...
But I'm 99.9 % sure that the ones I removed from my OEM non S-Line bumper are the same as those in the second pic... I'll just have to re-check.
Thanks for the info !!

The Part numbers are good, you just need to add the color code at the end

That looks nice and neat!
Has anyone tried this mod for the S-line fog grilles? OEM S-Line Bottom/Fog Grille + RS4 OEM Bottom Grille mesh?

As far as I know, only Members swapping to DTM did this DIY

I was thinking the same, but I think Phil's way is a lot easier. Besides, using the Dremel on the S-line fog grille will probably require some time to cut. Thats a lot of plastic. I'm using the OEM s-line fogs on the RS4 grille.

I saw your car at 1st Class, my Moro B6 was hit in the back :(, I thought it looked very good, and was wondering how you got the fogs done. Turns out that I may be getting a Dtm car and was wondering if the fog light wiring is already present in the car and just not utilized for the cars with the dtm kit? Also would you mind helping me with mine should I actually get the car. Thanks in advance.

Phil - Fiiiinally completed the fogs this past weekend. All I have to say is that you set the difficulty rating quite low lol. For the inexperienced (me), in order to get the fitment perfect, it took me around 20 hours to complete.
All in all it was definitely worth the time, thanks again for your write-up.

I'm currently getting my owned by this fog mod. Between my sucky dremel and my poor cutting tools, this may not turn out to be too clean.....

Definitely a bear of a project. Patience is key to this mod, since it doesn't leave much room for error. Good luck.

Hat to bump an old thread like this, However, wouldn't it have just been easier to modify the mounting points of the RS4 grilles to fit the DTM front bumper? I'm looking to possibly go DTM/AE front bumper in the next few weeks, and I'm wondering what my options are.
Thanks guys

No Dan, I looked at it before starting the surgery and the OEM RS4 are way too big
