I was saying 20MPG on the highway isn't good. Technically, you should be getting better MPG than EvilEvo as per my explanation above. My wideband said good things, my pistons didn't. Don't ask me why but for some reason VAST Ev14 tunes get 5-8MPG less than their Deka tunes, and everyone elses EV14tunes that I've logged. Do you have the other bugs worked out that you had on the dyno?

Got ya, as of now.. the car is fine on the street i dont know what is up on the dyno.. whatever.. itll go for a tune sometime during the winter and we will see what it actually does then.
and youd have to be super rich to wash out the cylinder walls.. by that time you would end up fouling the plugs
ok so since i wont be going standalone anytime soon.. you guys have talked me into putting a MAF back on the thing
first step.. build a y pipe.
2.25 inch inlets go into the Y which are obviously twin 2.25 into a 3.5inch. ordered some more piping.. will have an elbow and a single filter. not sure on the MAF yet..
tune shouldnt be an issue. 2-1 should be fine too.. just going to switch from a tial q to a tial QR(recirculated)
What MAF are you going to use? For the power you want, you will need something like a 95mm or larger and then part throttle is going to suck. Don't let anyone tell you different, I maxed my 90mm out at like 25psi on the old VAST tune.

i contacted pro M to build me a maf.. but i have yet to talk to mike about it. still sort of undecided. i can live with a not perfect part throttle to be honest. im not 100% picky as long as the car runs hard its a weekend driver.

ProM is what EPL uses. When I talked to VAST about it before I switched, they weren't interested in rewriting their tunes to use it. To be honest I'm not sure if they are capable of it, it requires a lot more than just scaling for a larger MAF.

i assumed they(epl) did.... i dunno we will see what mike says.. if im going back id like to have it right at WOT at least.
and i removed the spare tire hump in the trunkspace.. need to run a bigger battery, the cap is going down there for the audio and i wanted to clean up the wiring.. Needed more room for all of that so i spot welded in a filler(dont mind the ugly) i made it out of 16 ga steel and a hammer haha, welded it and seam sealed it.. its now painted with sprayable undercoating but i do not have a pic of that.
However, I believe it was mentioned above, but the 85mm or 90mm Hitachi is going to max out at 500whp. Moving to a 95mm is going to give terrible idle and be tough to tune down low. And yes, last I heard, your tuner wasn't interested in using a better MAF element. Any idea what they are going to do about that?

yea 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch.. Currently going to run the 90mm hitachi. we will see what happens..
tuning/fueling these cars is kinda a pain in the ass. Need more aftermarket support.
why not talk to mark @ autospeed? it is his kit after all
i havent heard anything about autospeed in years... it doesnt seem like they are moving forward? i could be wrong. ant it doesnt matter who made the hardware. the only thing autospeed about my kit anymore is the manifolds.. and even so, a tune is really a whole different story..
Didn't realize how much you changed the kit. As for AutoSpeed, they are very alive. The shop is a couple miles from my house & I had him chip my allroad. He just doesn't have the time to advertise like some other companies.
your exhaust valves are inconel. not iconel ;-)
Crazy stuff. We used it when designing the wastegates setup for the Cummins QSK19. I bet those valves werent cheap!
I really hope I get the chance to drive by you and hear/see this thing in real life at some point!
How's it feel for daily driving? Pretty solid or are you getting to misfires?
yea slave cylinder blew, fixed it. then two days later 3rd and 4th gear went out.. so ill be pulling the motor/trans here soon and rebuilding the trans.
