Some of you may know me on the forums from my B7 S4; however, I wanted to make a formal introduction for my new race team, Four Rings Racing and our car "Giggles" (came with the name, it's kind of a namesake you can't give up). Giggles is a 2001 Audi S4 Stage 3++, built by STaSIS Engineering. Some of you may recognize the car as the winner of the Eurotuner GP back a few years ago as well! Anyways, the team was able to obtain the car with the awesome help and kindness of professional racecar driver Chip Herr, who used to race for STaSIS in the Speed World Challenge.
Myself and my teammate, Dr. Quattro (Quattroworld and here for awhile), will be driving the car in NASA Time Trial events in 2010, eventually hoping to move into the German Touring Series and possibly other ventures. I've listed the current mods below, as well as a few quick pics of the car. Stay tuned to our build thread in the B5 forum for updates as we prepare this B5 to be a FULL, stripped, caged, and keyless racecar! Hope you guys enjoy!

Detuned to attempt to stay within certain guidelines of NASA racing. If we have the wrong adjusted power to weight ratio, we will end up in a class that we really don't wanna be in (basically up against 780whp GTR-35s, haha). So we're trying to keep the car at a certain point and balanced, rather than just going for raw power.

Hahaha, nice...ya we've been keeping it off the street for the most part because of the liability and such, but we've had to drive it around a few times and I've run into a few enthusiasts while doing so and I just can't ignore a fellow Audi on the road, haha
bov or bpv? Cause I love the whole car but would be a little surprised if you guys had bov's on there, even if they are recirculating.
Sorry, misprint, you are correct it is not a BOV, it is a BPV...I'll fix that. I copied and pasted it from another source and apparently I missed that! Thanks man
Very nice... I can't wait to see how you guys do. Make sure to keep us updated. On another note, how well does the car handle w/ the 18x8's on those 235/35/19's?
This thing was for sale about 20-40 min away from me a while ago. It was either mechanicsburg or Lebanon. Did you pick it up from here in PA? I know at the
time it was a dealership that was selling it on Chip's behalf. They were asking a rediculous price for it at the time, hope you got it for a good deal & looking foward to the progress!!!
Not sure if the GMG build will be competing in NASA Norcal, but would be fun if they were out there! As for the RS4 badge, that will be coming RIGHT off, haha, didn't know it was on there when I bought it. The front diff is stock, just adjusted. We will be switching to ERs or maybe a FMIC soon enough, just have some other things to focus on first, the RS4s will be fine for now.
Raacerx, eventually I would LOVE to make it a widebody! But that's for later, haha
Spooled1.8, we did purschase it from PA, it was it Lititz, and the price was very reasonable for what the car has .
ROUGHEDGES, the car originally belonged to "Bauer" on AZ, guy named Ben Bauer, and he is the original owner of the car. He's a friend of myself and Dr. Quattro, very good guy.
bryzf1, my bad, forgot to fix that, haha...apparently my proofreading SUCKS!
Thanks for your great responses guys, we're really looking forward to the coming year and we'll definitely keep you updated, and will have a website up soon as well
Just saw some interviews of Chip. How old is he? Looks like he is 18 or something.
Haha, ya the first time I saw his pic I thought the same thing! i think he's about 27 or 28...still very young for a guy who drive Lambo racecars for a living!
Interesting fact about Chip Herr. In 2006 on his way to a race when I was working at STaSIS he was carded while sitting in the emergency exit aisle of a plane to make sure he was old enough to sit there. LOL

beautiful car, i can't imagine it looking any better.
good luck with the racing! keep us updated
And Rosemary proceeded to Catharin with intentions of a marriage with Theadore. When she arrived, Theadore opened the door and shot a blow in her eye, laughed, and stabbed her in the face with the mystical sword of Gizzru.

Cool story bro! Not sure how you working at Stasis at the time had any relevance to the story though.... Oh yah, I forgot. You can't seem to post anything that's not in your own self-interest.
Carry on. Sick build!!! More pics and details please
Cool. I was wondering what happened to Chip's car. Was on Autotrader for A LOOOONG TIME! Glad to see it went into some great hands w/ GREAT PLANS!
Thanks man, Chip is a great guy, excited that I can keep the car doing what it was built for ...and Justin, that's hilarious because it's totally believable!
Thanks agian everybody else for your comments and support
I think because Chip Herr was driving for STaSIS while Justin worked there, right?
2+2=5 right. I guess some people can't put together that the only reason I knew that was because of my involvement with STaSIS. His attitude is the same reason this community is still light years behind because we are too busy fighting each other instead of helping each other move forward. The Audi community has always been the biggest wiseguy community I have been a member of.
Oh well. No skin off my shoulder. Have moved on to other things.

Dan, I am stoked this car is back in the NorCal. Was very cool seeing it come off the truck. It was even cooler hearing your drive away. You are a true enthusiast and deserve it. Cheers.
