    "Service!" Message in Display

    Good morning.

My B7 is starting to bug me. A month ago it went to the 45K inspection. All fine, they reset the service message in the display. After 2000 miles the "Service!" message showed up again when starting the car.

Well... I went to the dealer and they said "it was probably not reset correctly". I said okay... they reset it again, and it was gone.

Now, after one week and 250 miles, it is back again. I start the car and it says "Service!" (below the big yellow "OK" after it checked the cooling fluid and oil).

I just don't get it. What is wrong? Is there something I can do? Is my Audi dealer simply too stupid to reset it correctly?!?!? Gosh... this is bugging me.

    Regards,
    Oban

    Reset it yourself with VAG-COM.

Or just follow the steps in the owner's manual. No computer required.

With the car off, press and hold down the wrench button, turn the ignition on, release the button and press the 0.0 button

The service interval settings that are accessed only thru a VAG-com more than likely was messed up by your dealer.
