i remember reading about this on a totaled car sales site, i believe its in Arizona and if i remember correctly it was a flood that caused it, and the whole car is for sale but theres not much u can salvage out of it

Lets analyze this. It needs new seat covers. Thats a couple grand. New carpeting prolly a grand or more. A complete engine teardown and rebuild-whats that, ten grand when you factor in replacing a few parts. Possibly easier to replace the whole loom in the car than to try to figure out what works and what doesn't and why. So prolly another four grand or so there. Then a shitload of labour in getting everything clean again. I could be way off but either way its worth more as a donor car than it is if its repaired..

Aside from the mold and funk growing under the leather and in the carpet, I would really like to see how well this car would clean up....I also wonder how far the mud/sludge/filth-muck traveled into the exhaust system. The engine should be pretty sealed up.

Overall, I think the parts are worth more than the whole.

It's not really about the engine. It's about water+dirt in every empty cavity in body, doors, rockers, etc.

That car will rot from the inside out unless it is completely disassembled and every wire replaced, every channel cleaned and dried out. Not worth it.

I'm sure the interior can and will be cleaned up and sold.
