Hey! U answered a couple of my questions in my other thread...the only thing is you thought I had revo which I don't... now... would you recomend me just running the APR like yourself. That's worked the best for you correct? Or would you suggest something different since I am not chipped with any company at this point?
Looking forward to your input! Thanks!
Your right, I thought you had Revo. My bad. Any of the major software companies will work with this setup. Apr is mild. None of the current software companies make a tune that will take full advantage of this turbos capabilities. It's not that APR has worked the best for me. It's just that APR is what had had on my ECU, and current budget doesn't allow for software change right now. So with that said I'd say go with the software that will allow you the ability to fine tune. ie: Revo via SPS.
Unitronic is also a good choice, as some of their dealers offer uni-suite. (hopefully Clint (RAI) can give us some info on this). Either way their base k04 softwares are going to be more aggressive than APR's. I may switch to one or the other at waterfest this summer.

Not as good obviously. He's holding 18 psi where I hold 13. lol. I need to raise my requested by 5 psi. :)
I'm convinced that the TT225 (386cc) are going to be enough, but we'll have to wait. I just wish I had Revo. That ish would be cranked(sps)!
agree with you 100%
i think with the unitronics k04 file (the stage2+) this turbo will really shine, and really put down some nice numbers that many k04 users have been wanting for a long time.
it seems from that chart, that where the k04 falls short, this turbo pick it up...
im not saying its adds 50 more HP, but im sure it will give more power than a BW k04 and from the looks of it will hold boost+power throughout the power band.
very very interesting thread here. im interested to see the numbers of this turbo. do you think it would be possible to hit 250awp with this or is that a long shot? OP what turbo inlet pipe are you running with it?

250awhp is 325chp using 23% dt loss, I dont know whether thats achievable on this turbo but thats good power, especially from stock

Interesting thread, I'm running a Scroll SP51X Outlaw and I'm hopping to get it mapped next month. Currently on stock 190bhp tune and it will hold the 9psi boot the map calls for all the way to redline and I'm hopping to see good results once she's mapped.

A transverse beta tester hit 239fwhp. on a k04 tune, with some vtune massaging. I'm thinking we can hit 250fwp with a proper tune. What would that equate to in awhp?
I'm running the frankenturbo TIP. OEM TIP will not fit the larger inlet of the F4h-l. That is why the kit comes with the larger TIP.
Very cool thread/turbo package, I think i might give frankenturbo a call and see if I can get myself one
And just a question for the OP/frankenturbo... does the included TIP have the extra hole for the late model B6? I hoping it doesn't.
Also Frankenturbo do you have a phone number I can contact you at ? I see you guys are located in Westchester NY as well as I. I'm seriously interested, just want to chat for a minute. Thanks.

that MTM k04 is putting down 216 awhp and 274 torques...
I just bought Greg's MTM stage 3 k04 setup and his 420cc MTM injectors... I wonder what the Frankenturbo setup would do with that tune/fueling?
Probably be awesome. You should send the ECU to MTM and upgrade to their modified k04 software if they will let you.

Well i have thhe Revo tune with tt22's and i'm looking into this kit. i wish i had said turbo kit, cause next week is the EuroAddiction Dyno Day, would love to run it and get the numbers posted by Sat. night. But with some one at frankenturbo they said the kit was out of stock, till mid March!
Neil I think I'm getting it too! wanna install together? I could use some help if they don't have a garage.
well i ot a new guy i've been bringing my car to. He's a former Jack Daniels Audi tech, and works out of his new garage behind his house. Great prices and does excellent work!

Ah sounds good. I'll talk to you once I get the kit.

So whens the dyno coming ? dont leave us hanging...
X2
I want to see a dyno soon. I have a horsepower and torque goal in my head for when I do my MTM k04 in the next few weeks, and I want to see if the OP's turbo breaks what I'm shooting for with my setup.
HAHA, no. I'm interested in your kit enough that I still haven't bought a k04 yet. What I do have is an MTM stage III k04 chip, MTM 420cc injectors, a forge diverter valve, an Evolution racewerks full metal anodized inlet pipe, high flow cat, downpipe, and exhaust....
All I need is a mannifold and a turbo... Question is, which one?

Yeah, I'm gonna be lazy... what's a MTM stage III ?

Mtm is the most prestigious Audi/VW tuner there is. Their k04 solution is dyno proven to be the strongest on the market, by a significant amount. Mtm is extremly rare in the USA. Only one dealer and he is in Florida. You should google search them. Surprised you have never heard of them.

my fingers are crossed that i will get the dyno soon. Gdwag05 wants to dyno once he gets his new HFC so we are going to try and dyno at the same time. hopefully once i get this done canadaian 20v will get dyno's eventually and we can have results from 2 options.

I'll dyno the A4 at the next dyno day. I posted a thread in the regionals inquiring when that is. With spring weather hitting us in the great white north, I'm sure there will be a dyno day soon.
Have you guys checked out slappy's website to see his solution for B5 S4's?
Need some work done on your VW/Audi in the GTA? Former VW/Audi tech. Send me an IM, let me know what you need. Timing belts, brakes, etc... Quality work, save money.
It will be interesting to see what happens. I'd like to get it on a dyno once its completed. If anyone would be willing to meet up at a dyno someplace and check this out, I'll be happy to put my car up to test this kit.
What do you mean? I daily drive my car and it drives perfectly fine with a 30R and built motor and what-not. Actually gets better gas mileage on the highway than my car did when it was bone stock.
How do you account for the improved economy as real and not a measurement error? That is, what is it about the new motor that explains the increased miles/gal?
