The guys at VAST actually built my car, I shipped it up to them for the build. The stage 4 clutch will just be able to hold more power than the stage 3 so if you plan to upgrade down the road, it may be a good idea to go for the stage 4. It honestly drives like stock surprisingly.
I have Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, and upgraded airbags along w/ Bilstein's. It handles great... especially now since I got some brand new Michelin Pilot Sports installed this week! :) I've only taken it to the drag strip, never on a road course... it's just a great highway cruiser/all around car.
Man, that's crazy! So you didn't get to see your car while they were building it... yeah, I heard those stage 4 are pretty strong and they drive like stock! Nice to hear it's true! have you rebuild your tranny yet? Or at least 1 and 2 gear? There's a miracle tranny fluid that woule do a trick if you haven't done it yet! It's like day and night difference! So where in ABQ do you take your car to get checked up? Nice suspension, I bet it does handles good even though its pretty heavy! What kind of numbers have you get at the drag?
I had my car shipped up there and they took good care of me! I flew up there one way to pick it up and drove it home. They put in a fully built s4 trans for me too with upgraded 1-2 shift collar. It's such a nice improvement over the gearing from the allroad trans!

Man, they must have charged the s... out of you for the built, uh? Built engine, bigger turbos, stage 4 clutch, rebuilt S4 tranny, suspension... lol. But I bet it was worth it, you have a BAD ASS car man!! So you drove it back from Detroit? You know, I kind of did the same thing with my S4, I bought it in Washington, DC and I drove it back!! Crazy!! Back then, my car only had 90k miles and was under warranty. Only mods were Giac Chip, K04 turbos, RS4 clutch and Milltek exhaust, that was it, everything else was stock!! No fueling, no DPs, stock mounts, suspension... etc... Ive upgraded a lot of stuff from then! Next is, probably, VAST's stage 4 clutch and coilovers, I still have H&R/Bilstein springs/shocks, they are good but coilovers are better! ;) Specially because I want to track the car a little more often. So, quick question, did they rebuilt that tranny for you? Like you know they have a 01 E rebuild kit and all that or was it from somebody else? Like Scott's tranny? You know he sells a remanufactured tranny for those cars, everything updated and all that.
Well I got to know Mike at VAST really well at the TX State Audi Meet earlier this year and he really hooked me up w/ a hell of a price considering all the BS I went thru w/ the previous shop that completely Effed the car up to begin with!
I probably should have had Scotty do a custom tranny for me, but we just ditched the allroad tranny since the gearing sucks for big power and went w/ a fully rebuilt S4 trans built by VAST w/ the upgraded 1-2 shift collar.
The next thing is to install Meth and really dial in the tune....
If you're going to do coils, I would highly suggest KW's... they are amazing and would completely transform your car's handling.
Nice!! Yeah, I don't know him personally but he did hooke me up a couple of times. I think I will get Soctt's remanufactured tranny for my S4, seems pretty solid and I've read that he is a great guy with unbeatable prices! ;) So when or where are you getting your meth kit? From VAST? I have it and it works great, snow performance has a bad ass kit as well!! I did talk with some guys with S4s in Denver and they seem to agree that KW's are overpriced, I mean, they sure work on the track but seems too much for it. Those guys are running H&R street and ultras and they love it! So, we'll se... Are you guys gathering anytime soon? I would like to see some nice Audis/VWs here in NM!! ;)
I was looking at getting an Aquamist kit since it has a failsafe built in and it would be possible to tune more aggressively w/ it but I'm not getting it anytime soon so I plan to research a bit more.
I actually only paid 1600 for V3's for my old A6 Avant... for how well they perform and the fact that they're fully adjustable makes them a bargain IMO.
Not sure on when they'll be another GTG, I live down south and only get up there about once a month, if not less.

Yeah, seems like Aquamist has a pretty good kit! And yeah, you can tune it more aggressively! Well, even $1600 for coilovers seems a little high for my opinion, I could get the H&R ultras for just a little over $1k but I'll see what to get, btw, did you put those coilovers on your '11 A6 just for the looks? Or did you track the Avant? ;) There's one more thing I wanted you to ask, actually again, Im about the get the Stage 4 VAST clutch kit, so, do they really feel similar to stock? Are they strong enough for a course track/drag? Any problems with it? Any additional advices or something? I want a clutch that's going to last me for a loooong time! Later man!
Steven its a Eurocode FMIC and it won't fit the B5 the radiator mounts are different on the cars but I do have that DP and Brakes that will fit your ride

Hey all new Audi owner here. Name is Antonio. Picked this up a couple weeks ago. No offense to the last owner but, doing alot of maintenance that needed to be done. But other than that super clean. I went down about an inch from when I got it. The rear needs to be pulled part and the bumpstops cut, as it already rides on them. Plans for the near future are getting the trans looked at/ ask for advice here, exhaust, tune, and some better fitting wheels that fit my taste more. Hope to meet you all some time. On to some pics lol

Hey Antonio, welcome... Im kinda new as well. Are you from NM?? Yeah, your A4 would need some work my friend! There's nothing worst than a bad previous owner than never took care of the car! And then, they blame it on the car, why it breaks... etc... lol.
Yea, Albuquerque born and raised. Hoping to get my rear set up done this weekend and the oil change and plugs done.
Cool. Im from down South NM. What's wrong the the car's rear? I just did the spark plugs on my B6 A4, I used Bosch FD5POR, best plugs you can get for the 1.8T, 2.0T, 2.7TT... Don't get those cheap copper NGK plugs that will last you 10k at the most (they are supposed to be changed every oil change!!!) Get the real thing from OEM Audi, they are updated and they last you a whole while!! Even though it's a very simple job, still... at least, I would. Is your A4 auto or manual?
Had to cut the rear bumpstops so that I could be lower and ride better the last person didn't cut them at all so it rode a little rough. The only plugs I ever like where ngk br's. Never had a failure in my nitroused Tiburon and other friends turbo cars. Right now it's a auto (ugh), but hopefully I can get a the parts collected by the end of the summer to do a manual swap. I eventually either want to go K04 or big turbo.

Yeah, well, common mistake with new Audi owners... it's not like other cars, you know? A Hyundai? Really??? ;) I mean, NGK work fine but those copper plugs don't last long (it's really not worth to save a few bucks here and there with some cheap aftermaket parts, you may regret it later...). Just an advice from past experiences and from what Ive talked with friends (I go to Colorado kinda often)... So are you doing a manual swap? Is it really worth the money, though? Ive heard many stories that ended up like a nightmare, not trying to scare you but Im telling you, these cars are no Toyotas, Nissans, Hyundais... etc. It would suck to see you spend a lot of money and then just have problems with this and that... K04s are a nice upgrade but it may not be enough power/worth the money, but it all depends what you want to do with the car... do you plan on going to the dragstrip or track it? Oh well, good luck with your projects man!!

Does anybody knows where can I replaced my messed up BOSE speakers in Albuquerque or Santa Fe? Just looking to replace the speakers (probably all of them), something like Infinity reference or something like that... Im not looking on putting a lot of money on an audio system, I want to keep the stock headunit as well... thanks.
I replaced all of the the door speakers in my S with the 2 ohm infinity speakers and just pulled out the subs in the rear deck because I put in a 10" sub. It's not a hard DIY to change the door speakers, but it's worth it, it really cleaned up the sound of the system.
Any body have some aeb coil packs, in albuqueruqe? The bolt down with metal clips? Want to see if the two stickers I have are going bad and making my car gutless off the line.

Nice!!! Do you mind sharing the model # and size of the front and rear doors speakers? Where did you buy them? Im guessing they are the Infinity reference? Yeah, Im sure the doors speakers are not a big deal, I was just wondering what to do with the rear deck speakers... I don't know if Infinity has 6.5" 2ohm subs... do you know anything about it? Thanks man!!
i heard of a car meet on the 11th in Albuquerque. was wondering if any one is going. im going and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up
Man, I wish I could go but my clutch is giving up on me so Im afraid Im going to get stranded like last time (a few months ago)... Next time for sure!! Im replacing my clutch on April!! Who is going anyway?

Infinity does not make any 6.5in subs, but kicker makes some 6.5in free-air (don't need a box) subs that are 4ohm and would drop into the stock location, though they would be a little underpowered by the stock amp they would still work. Here they are, http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2060CVT654/Kicker-10CVT654.html?tp=111&nvpair=FFBrand|Kicker&nvpair= AG_General_Features|FFFree_Air&nvpair=FFSize|[rank4]6-1%2f2%22. If you wanted to run these with their own amp to get a little more umph out of them you can, but if you didn't want to go that far you could also try re-siliconeing the cones on the stock subs, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. If you do want to wire up a separate amp just to power the subs I might be able to dig up the DIY, it's pretty simply, all you have to do is splice into four of the wires from the stock amp.

Id be down if its for all cars, no longer have the audi. Also the imola yellow sedan is a good friend of mine, he along with his two roomates also have b5 s4's. One nogaro tip, and a silver stage 2 with meth and bbs ch's. Let me know about the ski rack!
Motor: APR 93 program, APR snub mount, 3'' ECS TP, GHL exhaust, Forge dv, fx300 clutch lw flywheel, OEM BBK, Interior: APR boost gauge , full S4 alcantara interior, Black beltline trim. Exterior: Vogtland Coilovers, 18'' BBS CO, S4 Sideskirts, S4 rear bumper, OEM RS4 front bumper, Black Roof, Black Mirrors, Audi TT Fuel door, Shaved upper/lower door moldings, Shaved Fender Blinkers, rs4 grill, police strobes
I'll be at that meet and its for all cars for sure.plus its a dyno day.. not an awd one though. but if you want the ski rack I can bring it to the meet. if they live in Santa fe and are down to go we could meet and ride up together
Thanks man!! Really appreciate it! So, you are running two of those kicker subs? They just drop on the stock location then? What kind of amp do you have then? I was thinking about getting a D2 A8/S8 stock amp, seems like they have a higher wattage than the stock b5 S4s and they drop on the stock location as well, Im just wondering how would it sound since those subs are 4 ohm... How do you like your sound? Thanks again man!

You sold your car man?? Why??? ;) Looked neat on the pictures... I had no idea there were many S4s around there, Ive been to Albuquerque and Santa Fe many times and Ive never seen one!! lol... Are those pretty modded?

Hey guys, I may be considering selling my reiger RS4 front bumper cover, I live in Ruidoso and I just moved to a house in the mountain so I think my front bumper is too low for that kind of area and Im not planing on moving again in years!! So if anyone is interested or knows of somebody who is, Im willing to take $500 shipped to NM (I payed almost $750 shipped to my shop in Ruidoso) or I can even trade for a stock santorin blue front bumper in good condition. Now, why so cheap??? Ok, here: The good: The bumper is less than a year old (I messed up my front bumper like a year ago, I ran over a fox or something on highway 25 going to Colorado...), the paint is in very good condition, like new finish!! The bad: Its missing one of the plastic things on the side of the bumper, you know how it has 2 vents on each side, it's missing one little plastic thing on the passenger side. I was told that it can be replaced and be painted, easy job, it's just plastic. Last, the bumper was trimmed a little bit to fit my JHM FMIC, so they cut it a little bit for a perfect fit, you can't really see it unless you take a closer look at it. Other than that, it has normal use underneath the bumper, not visible. But oh, well... let me know if anybody is interested or know of somebody, we can talk about it or even work on a better deal!!
Oh, and I have 6 (42lbs) green giant fuel injectors and a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator for sale!! They were seating in my garage for a while, they work perfect for 2.7TT S4s, A6s, Allroads or even 1.8T A4s and others (of course, only 4 of them ;) but I will sell the whole set of 6. $250 shipped anywhere. Injectors retail for $60 each at JHMotorsports.com plus $85 for the FPR!!! Great deal!! Injectors work awesome!! I used to have them on my Stage 2 A6 for less than a year but then I sold the car and I kept a few parts from it!! ;) Let me know...

I'm actually running a 10" sub that I built a custom box for so that it mounts in the Location of the cd changer. The d2 amp is a good upgrade. If you plan to run any sort of aftermarket sub you should put an amp on it. The kickers would definitely sound good and look very factory.

just went with a change and got a 2010 wrx hb. I absolutely love the thing and couldnt be happier with it. At this point in my life i need a car thats reliable and doesnt need to be in the shop all the time. I will however be looking to get back into the euro scene with a weekend project car and have the subie as a daily. There are actually quite a few audi's rolling around town it just seems like no one is showing up to the meets anymore or they arent on this site. for example, those three b5 s4's in santa fe are all modded, no stage 3 setups but all have stage 2, wheels etc. Also big billy's b5 s4 is one of the nicest s4's i have ever seen or been in and hes in abq but doesnt get on here at all. I think he is runing a similar set up to yours with a 3'' vast exhaust. also has real bbs lm's and stoptech's. Are you on the facebook page? Most of the guys seem to be using that nowdays rather then on here...

Thanks man... I'll probably just replace the door's speakers (front and rear) for now, my subs are still ok, they are not blown or anything, I'll probably wait on those... So are you going to the meet this saturday? How's your S4 running?
I'm actually going to school in South Dakota at the moment. The car is running great, better than great really seeing as I can't for the life of me get these K03's to pop. lol. 21psi all day and they're still quiet as ever. Hopefully this summer I'll be forced to pull the motor out and throw in some tials . Other than that it's been great for how many miles I put on it, it sees the highway a lot lately and is enjoying the snowy north
