As for the fog lights, what didn't you like about the phillips that made you decide to do the hoens? It's really difficult to tell from the pictures which is a closer match. Were the phillips too blue?

LOL. She'll be in the back by then. Just waiting on my car to put the seat covers on.
The Phillips were yellower than my hoens.
Phillips maybe 4000k and Hoens 4200K.
But still slightly off from the LEDS.

Scraped bumper came free with the service.....


Have to bring it back to be repaired at the dealer.

Spent 30 mins this morning to see what I could do with the scrapes on the bumper.
Don't feel like leaving my car for another week at the dealership/unknown bodyshop
Anyway steps were Clay Kit, Compound and then touch up paint.

I circled the areas where the paint was damaged.


After touch-up paint being applied:


I'll leave it for a few days then wet sand the blob down.
Compound then wax.

I think it looks good enough that I'm not going to worry about it.

You get used to this type of stuff in NYC. I've already had dents, bumper scrapes and broken tails that I repaired myself. You have to learn these skills owning a black car. :)
I really did not feel like leaving the car in their hands another week....

Regarding the wheels I am having a hard time finding wheels that look much better than my 18 inch peelers.
Was looking into Hartmann Titanium Rotor reps, RS4 reps, VMR 710 and the new ALUfelgen wheels.

I guess i could just plastidip my current wheels for a different look.

As far as wheels are concerned, you have some good prospects. By chance have you seen Dasquades 20" wheel setup? Those will look awesome on the BB. Alright so I've decided on wheels.
Ordered the V710 in 18x9.5 ET45 from Modbargains.
Will try to reuse my existing tires (245/40/18).
Should be a mild stretch until I need to swap them out.

Well I got a great deal on the 18's from Jason@Modbargains.
I can reuse my existing tires. Conti DWS tire specs allow for 9.5 wide rims on 245 wide tires.
18's are less likely to bend and similar ride quality to now. (Daily drive 60miles a day)
18x9.5 is still quite concave looking and the spoke style makes the wheel look bigger.

Basically, I'm spending less than half the price of 19's+Tires.
If I can achieve 75% of the same look I'll be happy.

I never got an answer in the wheel fitament thread.
I think the gap will measure the same, but the slight stretch will give the illusion of more gap I think.

So a couple of other new things to add.
I was lucky enough to get in on the Eurocode groupbuy on the turbo inlet hose.
Build quality is excellent and I had it installed Friday.
Since I can't quite WOT right now I will leave the performance feedback till next week.
However, there isn't any more noticable noise or anything.

I also lucked out by winning their raffle for one free hose:




I also got to test fit the Reiger replica truck spoiler.
It got damaged during shipping, so I got refunded the cost ($60) and used some putty to repair.
Will wrap this in ALU vinyl when it gets here.

Wow, the spoiler actually looks really good. Thanks so much for the detailed pictures and video. I have been waiting for details exactly like that before purchasing. It looks like the fit is really good (and will obviously get better when taped/glued down). You seem to luck out quite well with things getting damaged in shipping! Where did you get the spoiler from?

Got bent during shipping.
It stretched the ABS and left a dent.
I popped it out and used some putty to smooth it out.
That's how it looked before.




I know you're not a fan of vinyl, but I really think this piece will look quite nice in that brushed aluminum color.

Spoiler fit (and finish) looks great. I think it's cool that you matched it to your front lip and rear valence trim... I just don't think it fits that well, though. It has contrast but not in a place that you'd desire contrast, IMO. I was thinking about going CF on my spoiler against Meteor Gray, but I think this just sold me on body-matched for the spoiler. If you love the contrast though, that's all that counts! More power to you, and your styling execution is definitely unique!

This was a difficult piece to wrap. Took me close to 2 hours.




So here are some better pics from this morning.
I test fit it and I think it looks pretty good.
I am now on the fence if I want any spoiler on the trunk.
I think the Reiger spoiler needs a more aggressive looking setup to match.

Thinking adding spoiler may be a little redundant to the already molded one on the trunk...

Your car is very OEM+, and I think the aluminum spoiler just takes it one notch past that. Are you opposed to body-matching the spoiler?

Good call. I recently ordered some clear to do the same thing to my chrome window surround. Luckily for you, you don't have that problem!

Got the new shoes on.
I must say even with 19's the ride is quite smooth.
The DWS have a softer ride than other tires.
If my 18's were a 6 as far as ride harshness (1-softest and 10 harshest).
I'd say my ride right now is a 6.5 to 7.

Looks like I could go another 5mm in the rear.

Thanks! I was a little unsure of these wheels at first also.
But now that I have them on the car, they look great.
Plus the gunmetal color is very unique and dynamic based on lighting.

I did gain weight with these though as my 18's + tires were 47lbs and these are around 52-53 lbs per corner.

Your car looks awesome man! I love everything about it (the black grille, alu accents on the splitter and rear diffuser, exhaust, etc).
Your new wheels look awesome. The jump to 19in makes a huge difference!
The drop is perfect as well (for NYC streets - my car would die here)

Car looks great! Car looks OEM+ while being unique and not standing out too much.

How do you like the Continental DWS tires on the B8? I bought them for my B7 just before I sold it and the tires rode smooth but the steering response slightly decreased. Reason I am asking is my B8 came with new tires (OEM Goodyear) which I'll probably end up replacing soon. Didn't know if they were too soft for a bigger vehicle ...

Also, how come no window tint?
