I have need leaking washer fluid for some time. Pulled the fender liner and tank to find out it was pretty dry.

Seems to be coming from the headlight washer deal. Cant find any DIY, do you guys have any insight?

    Re: Leaking washer fluid

My experience with the headlight washers went something like this.

I sprayed the washers and lost bother pop up covers, they just flew off. I bought new ones but didn't care to have washed headlights anyway so I pulled out the drivers side headlight and clamped the line. This caused the fluid to back up and the auxiliary washer pump split, leaking out all the fluid. Then i learned how to pull the reservoir, unplugged the aux pump and sealed up the leak. All good now but what a pain for a few hours.

the pump on the lower tank always cracks and that caused a leak in mine but when i wrecked my car i picked up a new one and replaced it and it was simple as hell but it helped that i had the whole front end of my car off haha

well anyone in general really, because i had the same problem and wound up having to remove the bumper again so i could tighten the few clamps i had to loosen in order to remove the bumper. They were tight, just not tight enough i guess lol now the leak is gone

    Re: Leaking washer fluid

I had the same issue. I pulled the resevoir and used silicon sealant between the rubber gasket and the resevoir body for each of the three gaskets, then added a touch of silicon sealant between the gasket and the two pumps and the sensor. I let it sit up a couple of days before adding fluid and the problem has gone away.

    PITA!

    Re: Leaking washer fluid

my actual headlight washer leaked. i think it was a bad o-ring on the inside of it. so until i take my front bumper off i pulled the wheel liner, unbolted the tank quick, unplugged the pump for the headlight washers then pulled the hose and plugged it with a pipe plug until i need to take my front bumper off for something to replace the headlight washer
