Just picked up my first Audi, an 09 ibis white A5. Had a 328i and 335i before, so I'm new to the Audi scene. Anyone know of any good tint shops to remove and re-tint A5's? I read the B&O amp is pretty sensitive when tinting. I'm planning on taking it to G5 tint in alhambra tomorrow. Is that place legit? Also what are some good first mods on the car?

You know what kills me about all these vids, and I harp on it time and time again, but so many of these guys drive like ass-hats. Crossing the double yellows, driving beyond their limits (notice I didn't say the cars limits), and just acting the fool. That said, what's worse is the crazies who park themselves essentially ON the road to take pictures. With all the nut jobs around, it's a wonder more people that are parked and/or standing on the side aren't hit. I've seen the vid with the motorcycles that get taken out by the GTO, and I can't help but think that could happen way more than it does.

Lots of nice cars. Lots of people that can't really handle them, either.

A lot of dealerships are letting people test drive the cars up mulholland now, I had an opportunity to take the new mclaren up (with dealer rep shotty of course) but passed, one of my friends did it though. Said it was one of the most responsive and fun cars he's driven, and he's driven 458s, lambos, etc

The original Mclaren was absolutely insane. If the new one is anything like that, it is not the sort of car you drive around Mulholland on a Sunday morning while being flanked by nutters in 911's and funny cars.

I know McLaren does test drives every weekend for clients. They usually meetup at Lavaggio Auto Detailing then they go into the canyons afterwords.

Autogallery let me test drive a S4 in the canyons. They said this particular car was being delivered to another dealership, so he said "let's go have fun with it"

Pleased to hear it. What was wrong?

I just checked over all my suspension components. I'm sure something is amiss somewhere. It's the same feeling I get when I have a rear tyre that's down 3 or 4 psi.

I'll be in Santa Monica at the end of the week so I'll drop my Eurotech and get it looked at. Need some other things taken care of anyway.

Congrats on your upgrade!

I wouldn't say there are "a lot" of great tinters but I know of at least two. I live right by you and I take my cars to Signature Tint in Newport Beach/Santa Ana or Extreme Autowerks in Cerritos.

When I get the invoice, I'll let you know what the part was, but what it does is increase the voltage to the cylinders. I had one replaced maybe 6-8 months ago, now it was time for the other. I've never heard of this part before but it felt like a misfire in the cylinder, come to find i would only be running 3. Sometimes at high rpms it would kick in but other times it just sounded like a dying whale.

So the part was the coil output module, now I'm waiting for an oil change and i'm gold. Not literally, I wish though lol

When you say you have AZ Audifest West booked...what did you do? I registered/booked Wuste but can't see how to do so for Audifest!

Nice! Yeah I ended up getting one of the rooms at Hard Rock.. Couldnt pass up the good rate! I will also be heading out that afternoon from SFV so I will probably try and meet up with you guys in Barstow.

Damn, i had my A4 in for some TSB stuff at Walters Audi and I was bored so I test drove a B7 S4. Holy crap that car was amazing, soooo much better then the A4, like another world. Now I wanna sell mine and go buy it!
