The 2.7 can make the same power... It's the turbo's that are the limiting factor for most peoples builds. But take a look @ GURU, he makes 630awhp+ on pump.... if he tuned on E85 as well he would probably come close to the 800awhp mark (at least 750awhp IMO).

unless USP bored it out and did some extra head work (which I kinda figure they did).

I think it's a 3L VR and definitely with head work.

Or maybe it's because of the configuration of the VR6 (a hybrid between a V-6 and a I-6) and the single head that makes it way more efficient...? IDK.

S4's smaller displacement but a s4 head > Vr6

a NA VR6? really? that would be way slower than the stock s4 engine and would have gotten smoked by the e36m3 at the time. i realize the vr6 is good when its modded but stock for stock the 2.7tt make more power does it not?

The 034MS car has a 3.2L head and flows more.
