I sure as heck hope not. But this guy has time slips and such. Not much to argue about?

Thanks. So from what read and understand, it's basically always on.
Yes. There are certain OEM applications with an internal clutch (typically an electromagnetic version located between the pulley and the actual blower mechanism). This clutch opens under very low RPM, such as idle, to improve fuel efficiency and decrease wear on the internals of the supercharger.
Wow, 2 days, 2 pages. Awesome Car OP, I had no idea it was an avant till I saw the pics. (Usually skim, not read EVERY word.) Hope you get better. I think you're a breathe of fresh air for PES. 2 cars and they whern't looking so good, then outta no where you pop out with an AVANT and smash. Good stuff OP.

i never really liked avants, but DAMN your car looks hot
I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe its just the supercharger messin with us. Like how you might not be a fan of brunettes but a brunette with a rack is usually hotter than a blond with ittys....

Nice runs (in both threads) again. I am happy to see a Stg 2 run a 12.xx.
Question for you.....did you have everything done at once? Exhaust and charger? I am wondering if the larger X pipe helped you out, and if it will help me out. I have AWE for the lose. Its only 2.25 necked down from the headers 2.75. Wondering if I can free up power. Seems like the PES times are only getting better and better. I wonder where all the other kits are now in development and where they will be time wise......
Does anyone know what the MTM car did in the 1/4?

I'm guessing it was a 1.8 seeing that you are down to a 12.81 now.. I was gonna say that w/ the AWD there is no reason for you not to be pulling 1.6's all day long if not better.
What's your best 60ft to date?

Thats my bad. I think I had said to Anthony that they were 2.75. oops
Yes you did, but thats not important here. This guy had custom exhaust made Pat and I am wondering if it will help me to gain if I go 2.5 or 2.75 or whatever. Obvioulsy I am not going 5 inches. and the OP posted his custom fabbed exhaust. I don't want to pay for something that isnt going to help me any.

FWIW I run miltek dps with stasis 2.5" exhaust. Currently i'm running no X or H pipe.
No x pipe or h pipe? Isn't that a little too free flow of an exhaust? (I am NOT saying that sarcastically) Under the impression that we need a little backpressure on these motors for power gains.

nice man. it seems like the car is cutting out in the higher rpms? it doesnt sound like a healthy run to redline. still impressive times. big thumbs upp!

gotta say though 12.77 and theres a bit of driver error. dont get as nervous and you got yourself a 12.40 on a good day. and thats with 350whp. they yellow one with 414whp and sedan with a good driver should peak 11.90's with for example jay from jhm driving :)

On the exhaust i talked to the guys at labree and he said didnt need 3 inch unless io planned on over 500whp.To me that means 2.5 is good to 500hp i plan on trying to make over that it will take time put thats the goal. The avant pulls great but peak hp drops at about 6800 its a learning curve for launching and driving but even with crappy driving still consistent. The exhaust with the 5psi pulley picked up 20whp over the mufflers removed stock setup. The x pipe is something the domestic v8 guys swear by and i have friends that road race them.I also had exhaust and downpipes made for 850.00 vs 2000.00 or more for downpipes and exhaust and its all mandrel. My 60ft times would be better with JHM clutch coming before next season.

You will see better results with 2.5 and a X. Running without will still help make more power then 2.2 or 2.3 and an X. But its been proven like 1000x that adding the X will help Tq and hp performance threw points in the power band.
Some companys don't use the X or an H it costs more money and a bad X or H design is wose then no X or H.

The supercharger will still keep putting out power. But its the cams that will effect the power curve. We have obviously N/A cams putting boost in the car with N/A cams is going to effect the power curve because of the valve over lap.

I don't want to jack the thread. I was really asking the OP what setup he had. I would really like for him to answer. Thanks though guys.

that is interesting to me. what do people do who are running stock DPs?
You mean supercharged people or NA people? Tode or Pat can correct me if I am wrong here, but the NA people need more backpressure to keep power. The 2.5 is good for NA and SC applications, but if you are SC'd you will get more out of a more free flowing exhaust. See I HAD DP's and my low end TQ was greater than it is with the headers, but I see a significant increase in HP on the top end with the headers on. I think MY setup is restrictive due to headers at 2.5 to the catback 2.25. Backpressure is good, but free flowing exhaust with some type of X or H pipe on a SC'd car is better because we are burning more faster.
Just an opinion. Not a engineer here.

no, I meant for people who buy the stasis 2.5" catback. the stock downpipes, and lots of aftermarket downpipes are 2.25" unless tey were different for the b7?

If I actually knew I would tell you! I'll leave that to the pros. IMO 2.25 Dp's wouldn't hurt by opening up the exhaust to 2.5. Not THAT detremental.

The STaSIS catback comes with an adapter that necks down to 2.25 to fit the exhaust to the factory clamps.
And to clarify my post for the rest of you guys. I am running a "crossover"... The stasis exhaust doesn't have a traditional x-pipe. On the STaSIS exhaust the two mid-pipes are halved together creating a merge similar to a x-pipe.

I second this. In my results post, I posted my dyno vs. the PES baseline dyno (both were on dynojet). My car showed a much broader powerband (than the PES baseline) with a full 2.5" exhaust that doesn't neck down. Although, it's hard to quantify how much additional power/torque comes from the longtubes or X Pipe.
