Short runner intake is being made... almost done.
Accessories are sitting in Doug's basement
Head is in a hot tank and being gasket matched at a machine shop
Parts are sitting at IE ready for me to go pick up after the head is back
Waiting for bids and pricing on turbo stuff

Oops sorry about that Issam, I'm king of Typo's lol. H-3 fabrication is owned by a friend of mine, its costing me next to nothing for the intake manifold or you bet your ass I would have come to you.

Ok new updates...

Head was port and polished on the exhaust side. New black nitrated intake valves and inconel exhaust valves are ready to go in, and the head is coming back from being hot tanked tomorrow.

Okay. Just asking. I do not want to see you taking this motor apart down the road due to a failure from improper tolerance or the like.


I have seen significant deviations from spec on parts for our cars. I am also an Engineer so little details like this are in my mind all the time. Therefore, I come from the camp of measuring everything regardless of whether it is supposed to be to factory spec or not.

In addition, an assembly log would be prefered practice also.

I had bent intake valves. So I replaced all of them.

It is amazing that this is the same motor I started with. Looks almost new again, its all coming together. I'm at the half way point now so this is a better update than the last.



Head was port and polished followed by hot tank treatment.



And the valve train is reassembled.





Hopefully this is the last time I see these guys!



ARP head bolts and a new gasket, the head is finally back on!





I did a wrinkle paint finish on the valve cover. I did a rather large "wrinkle" that I think will look incredible with a carbon fiber coil cover.





This is a real milestone in the build, a buttoned up motor.
