    No, this is not my first. I built a VW 1.9L stroked GT3071R 1.8T a few years ago. Although the car was hit on the freeway and totaled before the tuning was perfect. I've also done a few Bimmer N/A motors and lots of Model A's (although that is completely different).

    Can I ask why a 28 frame with a fully built motor? 30 series (preferrably a 30/40 aka 3082R) would be ideal imo, or at least a 3071/76 400awhp or bust...

    i never said the crank wasn't strong, the way i was hearing it the block couldn't hold the crank in....

    He is at a higher elevation in Utah. Turbos spool up MUCH slower up here. Even more so when you head up to the mountains. This is the reason I stuck with a 28 series turbo on my 2008cc motor. I also have a small port head and have no problems making great power at 5K-10K ft. Got to think about intake velocity at 10K ft. No air up there. Until I see a bunch more B6 guys do 30 series setups up here, I'll stick with the smaller turbo housing so I don't have an annoying amount of lag. Only Ted (Denvernoob) so far from what I've seen has been able to do very well with spool up on a bigger framed turbo up at high elevation....but his car is a one-off E85 special with one-off tuning

    I'll try to dig up some info, I was talking to a friend of mine about the 3.0 block for his S4 but he informed me that he had seen/heard of people swap to the 3.0 block from the 2.7T and blow the crank out the block. probably situations where they tried to run the aluminum block as hard as they do the iron diesel block the 2.7T uses. to high power from the premium, high performance engine

    I also heard that the 3.0 block couldn't handle that much boost, but have yet to talk to Anyone who has actually done it .....I would love to see if the block. Could handle over 9 lbs ....
