Im actually surprised that people havent done this but slightly differently. Instead of running the rubber moulding, grabbing some .75" width thin sheet metal from home depot, getting it color matched or black and using 3M moulding tape to put it on the doors. It would last forever (or until the moulding tape fell off) but it would look much cleaner imho (I'll probably end up doing it)

ECS has the complete set for $164.95 currently. But they run sales all the time, so catch it right and I think they've done it for $120.

I cant find any molding like this anywhere! Ive went to every auto parts store around me and all they have is chrome stick on garbage. Also, I was thinking of doing this, and then painting my lowers. The stock lower door molding overlap the door sill, so when you paint it, it will look alright and you can leave it black (the part youd see when you open the door), but because this trim doesnt overlap, I would probably have to paint match the whole black "sill", the part you see when you open the door? And then it would probably get scuffed by shoes and just rub off. Any input would be cool.

Pep boys had perfect stuff, 1 inch tall, probably about 1/4 thick. Been on my car for about 2 years now. popped the clips off, ground down the studs with a dremmel, lined up the sticky tape, and its been on there since

looks as good or better than stock.

the moldings that are $213 a piece are the metal s4 moldings. those are actually a very different fit from the regular a4 rubber composite ones. the expensive s4 ones sit about half an inch higher than the a4 ones on the clip, to allow room for the s4 side skirts. i have s4 sides, but had the a4 moldings painted and reinstalled. doesnt look very good, but it works well enough, and much cheaper. didnt have enough money to just have the mouldings shaved entirely. apparently you can get s4 moldings from the dealership now for about 140 a piece. dont take my word for it though, but i do remember a fellow member on here saying its s4 moldings are cheaper through dealership than ecstuning.
