V1 Radar question

Just got it yesterday and put it in the car today, so far Im please with it, but the real test is once I get on the highway

My question is...I read that there are three modes, A, L and little L i guess or whatever they call it....what does everyone keep thiers on?? Thanks.

when I'm driving around DC, I keep it on little L, when I'm outside it, A.

mine's mounted to the left of my mirror, tapped into the cig. lighter, and my remote unit it in the ashtray.

lol, what are the different settings? i just put mine up the way it was out of the box. you get used to the blips really quick and which ones are bad ones. KA band is BAD in cali, when I hear one of them, i slam on my brakes (because I'm usually going a bit over the limit)

mine is slightly above to the right of the rear view mirror.....the cord runs up tucked into the roof thingy....and i have it hardwired to the fuse box...

thanks for reminding me that i have the remote display thing to install (i've had it sitting since march i think)

i actually turned off my x band and increased my k band sensitivity i may turn down the laser sensitivity too those dam lexus w/ their laser guided cruise control...

Be careful with the braking, I am told be a CHP that it helps them spot cars. I use the hand brake so as not to draw attention.

that's true. I guess I don't slam on the breaks, if I do, it's when I'm in their blind spot + then I just let off the throttle when I roll by.

the hand break i've used also, my truck has the E=Brake at the feet though, so not no mo.

how do you change all that stuff? i have seen a couple K band cops out in the boonies on the way to mammoth, but not many.

Yes, but use common sense, don't lock up the back end

I've hand braked it down from 120 to 80 to roll by a CHP. It was dusk, and my tail lights would have given me away.

By the way, don't expect it to slow you very quickly, it is amazing how inefficient rear brakes are.
