Hardtops are very rare. I have one lined up right now all black even interior and when the kid is ready to sell which might be soon I have first dibs. I have driven one numerous times and they are a lot of fun, fast and throw a big turbo in there and you have a hell of a car
I've been wanting one for so long in yellow or red.
If you can use this car all year round do it, but for me I would prefer to keep the B6 and just buy a s2000 for when it's nice out. <** that or the Lotus Elise in about 2 years

They are decent cars. Just make sure you get the ap1 and not the ap2 version. Ap2 sucks ass. You can also buy a removable hard top to toss on the convertable if you dnt wanna dick around with trying to find a hardtop

couple of my friends own the ap2 s2k's great cars but seriously not practical. I almost pulled the trigger on a black 05 ap2 before i bought my a4, its such a drivers car but most of the power doesn't come in until the higher rev range. and the rear tends to break out of traction quite a bit.

s2k is fun, my roommate has one. Its an ap1 and handles like its on rails...i know there will be lots of honda hate on here, but i have mutual respect.

- Dash looks like it was taken from a motorcycle's, not really a car. Another Joke.
- 2/3 of the car is for the hood, the rear seems like it was cut short... a car has to be proportional for me. The 911 would define how I would like a 2 doors sport car to be.

hardtops are hard to find but you can find a convertable for 10k to 14k on ebay and they sell carbon fibre hard tops
i would just save up and buy one as a second car
or look at nsx

If you're only gonna have one car, I'd go AP2. It's already a sacrifice going to a two door, tiny convertible. Why frustrate yourself with the even more peaky 2.0 when the 2.2 has a better torque curve for daily driving. So what if the RPM down to 8,000.
Ive been looking at an S2K for a second car. They are a bast to drive and they look downright sexy if done correctly. A friend of mine has a stock with a thicker head gasket running 18lbs and it puts down 501rwhp
Before my recent divorce, I was fortunate to have both cars. I had a 2003 S2k, and B6. I loved the Honda, but it was the easiest to sell when the time came. I am in the car business, and have driven pretty much everything out there, and decided to buy the car after my first test drive. I had never been in anything, to that point, that gave me the same satisfaction. There are obviously faster cars out there, but the combination of sound (especially after a Invidia Exhaust) and short shift points just made me always have a great time driving it! Once I get financially back on my feet, I will probably replace it, but may look at a Lotus as well....
My buddy has one and he put a custom exhaust on it that is STUPID loud but I actually think sounds pretty sweet in higher rpms. I've raced him a couple times, once in my A4 when I had the Elim turbo on it and another when I was in my dad's stock B7 S4. I beat him by about a car in my A4 and lost by about a car in the S4.
I had a Yellow 2001 s2k for about 3 months and i hated it. The car looked really good and was fun but it got old really quick. Maintenance is dirt cheap but my insurance was stupid high. Another thing is it was soooooo noisy, Idk if it was cause it was a convertible but you can hear every little thing. I say go with the s4 or m3.

I drove the S2000, M3 and of course I own an Audi. I wouldn't get a S2000 for a DD, it's meant for the track and weekend car.
M3 is very nice but you need to know what to watch for when you buy one. I own one and I know how much maintenance/mods cost.
