Nice pink bicycle in the background. You're doing this in your own garage then? You've got some balls. Good luck with the project and keep us updated. I love watching these.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all wishings of good luck. I'm going to need it.
I am doing it in my own garage, but its a pritty big garage, you can fit three cars in it. SO plenty of room for the rear quarters. Just looks small in the pictures.
Bonnet - simple few bolts.
Head lights - 2 screws at top two at bottom at the back.
Front Bumper, - 2 bolts that hold to front bumper suppport and bolts under wing.
Wings - screws at the top and bottom and also near door. Had to take sidedkirts of to take these of.
Side SKirts - loads of screws top and under sill.
Slam pannel - radiator has to come off and pipes
powersteering fluid has to be drained and pipes taken of.
next job get the new slam pannel on and transfer all the fans and cabling over.
Audi a4 tdi b6 slam pannel
Audi rs4 b7 slam plannel
Audi a4 tdi b6 fan pannel
Just came across my first problem.
All the parts i have bought are RS4 parts.
Well the front of the b6 tdi has an intercooler pipe that runs across the bottom of the slam pannel. The rs4 does not have this so the slam pannel won't accomodate this.
I got intouch with billi who advised he used a a4 b7 2.0 tdi slam pannel.
So as i already have the pannel, i thought i might as well get the dremmel out and trim the pannel a few cm's from the bottom.
PERFECT IT FITS.
2nd Problem. The rs4 left fan fits directly to the slam pannel. Where as the a4 one fits to a pannel that fits on to the slam pannel. Therefore i had to customise the fittings for the left fan. Took me an hour but its as good as the orignal.
I've test fitted it just to make sure there's enough clearence. (THE CABLE TIE'S ARE ONLY THERE FOR TEST FITTING.)
Yes i know the fan on the right seems a bit miss aligned, nothing i can do about that as its attached to the engine. As long as it cools the engine it should be ok.
Hi, thanks, but i'm not sure how. I'm a bit new to this forum stuff.
could you do it for me. Or tell me how. Thanks

or maybe post a link or something? More relevant for those lads. I'm sure there are plenty of A4 owners who would like to see what you're doing to the car they also own.
But trying to make a car you have better looking and better performing than it was by adding the most badass bodykit available = WIN
THANKS WHARTUNG
RANDY M and for all those who think why.
Just a pointer the whole conversion is going to cost me less than the price of a standard audi. HOW???? , well
I managed to get the 2002 a4 1.9 130 tdi for less than £000
all the geuine rs4 parts including exhaust, wheel and tyres for less than £000
thanks to ebay and a few contacts in the salvage buisness. (not the interior)
The spray will cost me around £0000 including help with spot welding and mods.
SO for around £0000, why not is the question.
ALso i'm doing this as a hobby not to make money. I have some spare time and love the audi rs4 looks.

I disagree. Here in the uk, these replica's are going for around £20,000. If i can get mine built for les than half that. Well you do the maths. Thats a tdy bit of profit if i sell it.
yea plus doesnt it cost a CRAZY amount of money to insure a 4.2 liter engine in the UK? the insurance for 1 year would be more then the parts to do the conversion alone
good luck with your build, its going to look awesome. ignore the people that say go buy a real rs4, they just dont understand

Thats right, my insurance would be around £3000,
servicing every year would be around £2000
and fuel cost well ??????
keep watching this space. i'm doing this conversion in my spare time, so it will be slow and steady. but i'll keep everyone updated.
I think this would be a great colour and I can wait to see it all done.
Hi DOCURLEY,
What colour is that.
also i believe you where starting a conversion last year when i was getting my rs4 parts together. Have you started yet.

I'm still hunting for parts but the biggest issue is finding parts and getting to them first as they tend to be more up your neck of the woods.
The colour of the car is Kingfisher/Pelican Blue which is a rare Audi colour.
