Just to brag, I got my APR down pipes mated to the APR exhaust last night after about 4 hours of messing with it. Love the improved sound over just the exhaust alone. A bit more drone in the cabin as expected but for most part very drive-able as an every day car still.

IS your cat-back resonated or non res? I had that exact setup on my S4, and I LOVED the sound. I was resonated fullback. It only gets better with time too!
I have a non res system and I LOVE it. It is a bit loud. Last night I came home and my dad was downstairs and greeted me when I got in. I was like, I thought you went to sleep. He's like, I heard your car coming down the street so I came down to say hi.
I personally think APR is such an under-rated sound. I love it.

BTW, when I was at the shop getting this done, the owner had a 65 mustang with a blueprinted 351 motor that has the most beautiful worble worble sound at idle. I think I have to buy it and run back to back sound clips.

That's great to hear. I've been considering the exact APR exhaust setup that you have and from reading many other reviews, I'm yet to hear anyone be anything but extremely satisfied with the results.
My faith is in the /S.
05 S4 B6... my second S4...Eclipse AVN726e nav unit, RS pedals, K&N filter, Audi Sport rubber mats, V8 insignia, 35%front/20% back tint.
01 S4 B5... my first S4...bone stock. Sold.
It is resonated, and even has the little raspy back fire sound when revving it.
YA they do that. to some its music to others its a pain.
As for the drone. Man that's odd it shouldn't be an issue with that set up. The apr usually is super stealth till you lean on it. Then people kinda stand and look up.
As for the 65 mustang. That was the sound I wanted from my exhaust.
If you get a chance it would be great to get a Vid clip.
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.
AMA and YES! Together we can all defeat 2.0t and 2.7t crime...
And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in

Classic American muscle...ok now don't laugh. Catless piggies for the Dp's and then custom X pipe with flowmaster 40's on it. Sounds mean. I don't want to thread jack but I can post a clip or a link to the vid if you guys are interested

The sound of the exhaust may not be for everyone and I know that. This being said I LOVE it. This is the polar contrast to the every day sleak but aggressive APR.
