I want a new Jetta more than I want any S4 right now.. Rolling up to 5 years, it's about time for change. I'll really start enjoying this car again when it is a garage/second car once I pull the trigger on a VW in the summer..

You bought a daily right?
I really want a Mk6 Golf TDi. And no, I did not buy a DD yet. Still putting too many miles on the S4. Almost at 194k on the chassis now. Right around 36k on the build.
I think I have put the most miles on a GT kit so far, haha.

I really like the new VWs.. As long as their electrical problems with windows doing whatever they want and trim pieces falling off is getting better its a damn nice car for the money. 194K is getting up there... Certainly among the most miles on a GT kit also I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head..

Oh haha.. I think I can get HFS6 kits for a little above cost from this guy around me.. I really want that setup in the future. When is your 605 car going to be done?

i don't see the point in the HFS-6 though. I got my HFS-3 for a little above cost and paid $600 for it, which is a deal when retail is $735.
Along with a Mk6, I also want a Mk4 R32. Even though they aren't that fast, they are a ton of fun to drive.

I might have to hit you up on that deal of yours. The car was started today and if all goes well will get picked up tomorrow! It's been very exciting.

HFS-6 is overkill. Hit up Jason, he can get you a good deal on a HFS-3.

he has been driving it for a while. If I have to work on it because of him he and I have a back charge agreement. I'm not too concerned.
If the car was started yesterday, how could it have been driven for a while already? There was 1000 miles on my car when I drove home from Vast and even then, I still had some stupid little issues.

Yeah but, that was vast. I had a ton of issues after vast too. When I installed it I had very few issues and drove it 1000 miles no problem! We will see.
It's done, just got to bleed the clutch line. Picked up a bleeder from a buddy yesterday. I've been so swamped with school; and being the interim manager at work, that I've only been getting like 4-5 hours of sleep each day. To say I'm drained is an understatement. Finished my finance class at 2pm today and I'm officially on break until next monday for thanksgiving. I can't wait to drive it after this whole year of it sitting, at this point I don't care if it make 500BHP or 5BHP, anything beats my civic beater!
Around 191,500 right now. Car has been pretty damn reliable. Just switched to using M1 methanol and it made a good difference. Basically just enjoying my car.
As of right now. I have 198,8xx on the car. Just accumulating miles and putting down power. Couldn't ask for anything better.
There is a tad over 40k on the motor/turbos and 30k on the trans/clutch. Everything was built at around 158k.
Happened to me too. Well It was happening anyways. This last time around I pulled the front off and found 3 bolts holding the crank pully in place. I bought all brand new bots and red loc tited them in place.
What exactly happened to yours or are you in the process of figuring that out.

The crank pulley fell off and I had to have the car towed home. I only found remnants of 4 bolts, so I am not sure if only 4 were used when it was installed or if all 8 weren't tight or if they just backed out. To me, it looks like there were only 4 bolts used or at least only 4 tight.
I had to drill out 3 bolts that sheared off in the crank gear and I am waiting on 8 new bolts and a new crank pulley. Hopefully I can get the car back together this weekend.
looking @ that pulley... I'm going to say there was only every 4 bolts holding it on... OR at the very least the other 4 were very loose/not touching the face the pulley at all...
