SpeedWorksAuto is right on the money. I used a drill press, and you right, if you are off by 1mm even the bracket won't work. I used 7075 aluminium, and I bought a whole thing of it for $30. My first set of brackets were not an exact fit, partly because I was watching the race on the screen in the pit and setting up tire strategies at the same time then I applied myself later and made better brackets. Not to hijack his thread, I ll make a thread tonight of the entire project, well at least whatever I remember I have, and whatever pics I took just to piss off the GT3 team. You ll undserstand when you see the color of the caliper. ;)

I don't seem to have permissions to start a new thread, so I guess I can't start one, but believe it can be done. I am getting this.

Working on mocking up my setup and have similar brackets made as well. Have a sweet set of Brembos, just gotta get the rotors so I know the offset amount. Should be sweet. Waiting for actual progress and I will post.. I had a similar setup made for my Z to run larger rotors with the stock 4 pistons.. Great solution.

you have to start the thread in the regular forum, send a note to admin, and they move it over to projects and builds. You cant start threads here.

I'm looking for 345mmx30mm front rotors and 300mm x 22mm rear rotors. ESPECIALLY the rear rotors! Mine are ground down to maybe 15mm thick in the damaged area and I parked it today after finding out how bad they really were (I knew they were grinding, but didn't realize they got so bad so fast! My plan to drive 'em until there's nothing left to grind has gone as far as I'm willing to risk! )

So I know B6 S4 has 345mm front and 300mm rear... what other models have this size rotors?
are there any A4's of this size rotors? B7 S4?
This is a really intresting thread by the way... I'm thoroughly convinced that brackets are the way I'll go..
I have some aluminum and some stainless that will work fine for brackets. as for the aluminum B5 S4 uprights I bought... I may want to sell them soon ;)

what ever became of the Dodge/Chrysler Brembo Calipers (came off an SRT 300, right?) The rotors appear to be all the same size on those cars.. were you able to use the rears (or the fronts?)

TIA for the info on the rotor size-model wuestions
    late
