Wait... so you had the 35r running and you drove it with the stock tip??? lol. You must've not wanted it at all. Very interesting and props for taking on this project I'm afraid of putting a 28 series turbo just cuz it's a tip but I'm sure that built tranny is more than what I'd want to pay. If you'd like to PM me a ballpark just so I can keep this idea out of my head feel free to do so. lol.

BTW I love the background to your parts pics. BULLS FTMFW forever

why not a 44mm WG on that manifold?

also, how does your hot side piping match up to your turbo outlet? Mine looks like the silicone wants to rip.

What do you mean by "Custom Tune"? I know CTapp has 2 distributers in the US. One in NY and the other in CO. Is his distributer able to do custom tunes for you, or did he give you an off the shelf tune and you are just having him tweek it for you? Thanks!

BTW, that build is bad ***

you cant tweak NDBW (96-99.5) cars CTAPP only offers a 1000cc or 630cc file for us. Only way to custom tune is SEM

no real reason on going with the 38mm over the 44mm just pretty much went with what Chris Tapp suggested....

your talking about the intercooler pipeing right? mine seems to fit just fine I can get a picture if you like.

Wow, you sound like a determined man. lol. I'm very curious to see how the tranny plays out. Haven't heard anything but good shit about IPT. What boost you planning on running when it's all said and done? I have a left knee problem and I'm skeptical on getting a MT since it swells up when I drive on it too long so tip builds catch my interest

what are your rough power goals. i have a friend that blew his IPT tip tranny in 3K miles with a 3071. hope you do better. this will DEFINITELY be a record on a TIP trans LOL (if it can take it)

Ya! a local build. Would love to do some pulls against the 35r tip compared to my soon to be 35r manual trans! Still havent decided yet on what trans tho...

wish i could give you a good answer on this. but i have not been able to run anyting more then 14psi before i blew the stock tranny lol. with the ecu tune and tcu tune the shift point will be higher then stock redline.

we est the hp to be aprox 675hp at crank on c16 at aprox 33psi.

we told ty at ipt the hp estimates and he said its no problem and is also giving me a 12k mile one year warranty (only company willing to warranty a tip trans build) so i feel pretty confident.

probably wont be down at the shop until early next week will try to remember to bring my cam!

also as a side note that i forgot to mention. i had my fmic made as a clone to mike hoods fmic before they started producing them for "off the shelf" so my pipes may be a little different? maybe mike can chime in or you can contact him. will try to get pictures still though!

Think I talked to you a year ago or so trying to check out your ride as I noticed that you were building it for a 35r, but never really met. I sure will let you know as we will be a couple of the very few with such a setup out here! Surprise considering the amount of Audi's in CO!

That had to be a LONG time ago. We haven't hit up D&B in over a year! I'd love to see it when it's done!
