Bioshock was pretty cool. Dead Space is just down right creepy. Reminded me a lot of the movie Event Horizon. I do highly recommend it to those that luv horror and gore.

The problem with the new PS3 is the backwards compatibility. Older ones had the emulator which was later pulled out to save on money. Fuggin cheap bastards...

Hey, cellg8. Do you have a decent sound system hooked up to your PS3? One thing I like to do is go on youtube via PS3, and listen to aftermarket exhaust clips through my home theater system.

    Online stability

On every game launch that has online play... i cant help myself from going to PS3 forums and watch the PS fanboys cry about how they keep getting disconnected... or cant connect with their friends ect... ect...

Like i said.. they get what they paid for! With my 5$ a month i have NEVER had connection issues on any game at launch or a year later when i play an oldie with some friends.

My PS3 makes a great blu ray player though!

I don't buy the lag/trouble free connection. ALL of my friends have 360s, and they've ALL had their fair share of laggy connections & dropped games.

Yes you do need online access to play co-op online and I strongly recommend that. The AI in that game (your partner) is just pure idiotic!

To do co-op online, first you need to start the game, and once you get into the weapon selection screen, press the ps button and then pick one of your friends, then press the tri angle button i think, then pick invite this person to join your game. Then after he/she accept it, you will see whoever has is requesting to join the game, then you just accept it. You will also be able to talk to your friend and discuss which weapon or ammo to bring (with bluetooth headset or usb headset), then just start the game.

On the side note, personally I would recommend the following games:
    - Army of Two
    - Resident Evil 5
    - Assassin's Creed (The graphic is just amazing with this game)
    - Assassin's Creed 2 (Should be available sometime this year)
    - Army of Two 2 (same as above)
    - God of War 3 (Availability is TBA)
    - Street Fighter 4 (Great game to play with buddy on/offline also)

    Hope this helps!

Ok, that sounds cool, but I think that one of the latest firmware updates on the PS3 allowed cross game invites. Don't know what I'd use voice messaging for, but sounds cool. You can rent and download movies with the PS3 too.

I've heard of a lot of 360 games having lag or network problems on launch.

I think both systems have their strengths and weaknesses.

The PSN is not quite as integrated, but that's it. I mean, if you spend 40 hours a week playing online, have been a part of Live for years, and have lots of friends on that service, then I guess it makes sense to keep paying for XBL. But from where I'm standing, having never been a part of XBL, I can't wrap my mind around ever having to give away money to play online, or even download demos in some cases.

Voice messaging can be useful for sending in-game, childish, trash-talk messages to opponents in order to illicit the gamer-rage within us all (buddy of mine does this all the time ... quite funny). Or it can be used to keep in touch with long lost friends to chat with long distance for free.

    Except it's not actually free.

As far as lag, both systems have their fair share, but as long as you're playing against/with people with decent connections, you should only be experiencing network problems on rare occasion (either system).

Seriously, it's 2009, and PSN is 90% of XBL for no charge at all. I'll take my Blu-ray, Bluetooth, web browsing, and third party 320GB HDD over cross-game invites, voice messages, and Netflix.
