Off Topic Rant: The new Acura TL is hideous...No idea what they are thinking.

i think the new hondas look like shit too. the old accords look way bettter than the new ones. and the acuras are now ugly. and they are stopping production of the s2000.

this is just like what happened to the Ford Taurus a loooong time ago. There was a time it's styling was what most people liked. Then the design changed and transformed the Taurus into a cross between a boat and a spaceship. Fail....

Germans are great engineers but the styling of their cars is not awesome by any means. Japanese are awesome engineers but the Honda designers seem like one-armed Stevie Wonders. They make Germans look like Michelangelo.

The first gen TL looked alright ... Unless you're talking about the previous gen (i.e. third gen), then yeah, it does look fantastic.

Old Honda/Acura design used to be stately, safe, if not boring, but never ugly. I guess they got tired of blending in. I think the Civic, and Accord were on the right track, but after that, things got out of hand.

I completely agree, and I shall clarify that I was referring to the latest design discussed here. I do like the older Acuras a lot.
