Who Has cat cams 3652's??? I need your help!!!!URGENT

I have found an oem vacuum pump on ebay for 75$...My worry is that this pump is just auxiliary to the vacuum produced by the engine and is not gonna make enough vacuum....I am also thinking of hooking back up the vacuum tank that is under the fender left side and reuse the electric valve for the blowoff valve..I just need to know if that electric valve opens when I release the throttle???

The engine will produce normal vac while you are cruising down the highway @ very light throttle

the pump is on her way to my shop....I also bred the brakes today and put the wheels back on...The b5 rs4 oem wheels fit but with a 10mm spacer, I have less than 5mm clearance between the caliper and the wheel...

My engine had the mahle 81mm 9.0:1, with the 3652's and my idle was 4-6 hg of vacuum.. at 1000rpm. The car ran great pulled like a train. If you had standalone or a custom chip tune for these cams it would probably idle better. That tick doesn't sound like injectors but you are saying its coming from there. My 1000cc's were pretty damn quiet, i had 440's, 630's and 750's none sounded that loud.

First the camera is amplifying the sounds, it is not that loud
Did you have stiffer springs, valves etc in your head???
The noise is louder in the fuel rail than the injector itself

Look at his tach videos and the power he had I would say it is safe to say yes he had springs and all that good stuff. click

I just run it a 3000 for a couple of minutes,the njoise is starting to quiet down..There are some other noises but i it's just notrmal with the stiffer valve train...I still have to take it out in the street and give it a good push

His startup video sounds just like mine, like I said b4 my camera is amplyfying background noises a lot

Lifters are finally getting oil and 'breaking in'. I told you.

yes they were out, still was hard to turn, it's the valve train

holy smokes she goes...I had to redo the lines to my wastegate, I was not seeing more than 9 psi no matter how high I set the ts2...So I used second method as per turbosmart.
I don't know why but maybe the cams or the larger intake manifold but before I would see 14psi using the first method on the wastegate...

So I am now boosting 14-15psi and damn does that feel good..I think I have to change the spring in the wg, I have the large yellow now..
Wich spring are you guys using??

Also I hear the wg fluttering when it reaches the max boost, is that normal??When it does that I feel a slight cut in power, kinda of like missfires but much less brutal...I think I have to increase the sensitivity of the ebc????

In Tial, the large blue it 1 bar, the big green is .9 bar. I have the chart taped to my wall in frt. of me.

I got that from their website for 44mm wg..According to their chart you have to use 2 springs to get to 1bar

I have a 38mm and I ran the small red (5.8psi/.4 bar) up until a few weeks ago. I use a manual boost controller and I ran all the way up to 25psi with that spring. I recently put in a big blue (14.5psi/1 bar)

If you run a EBC it doesnt matter what spring you run. I run a 10psi spring in my Tial 38 and have no issue hitting 37psi.

Steph, since they do not have a TurboSmart, they are not in the "know". The eBoost runs off of duty cycle just like the N75 does, once you hit 90% duty cycle, you need to tighten the spring or add a stiffer one.

When I ran the full GT28RS, I could only hit 29psi at 90% duty cycle, this was with a 1.0bar spring.

I have been running a HKS EVC4 since 2001. If your EBC doesnt allow you to hit full boost it is either bad or you hooked it up wrong.

EBC on a Ext wg needs to be hooked up so that pressure is always beeing supplied to the fitting on the top of the wg housing. This keeps the valve closed all the time up till the point that the ebc step motor decreases the pressure to that line and applies pressure to the fitting on the side of the wg housing causing the valve to open quickly.

Once you get the duty cycle set, you and adjust the sensitivity, 10 is a good sensitivity setting to start with.

Thats what I like about my EBC, the % just gets set to 100%, put in pressure rating of the spring and set how much boost you want to run. The % then can be adjusted + or - to offset any difference in how much boost the turbo makes vs how much you have the ebc set for. I cant stand the EBC's that have gain settings.

the ebc is not working I just brought it down to 0 to see if it makes a difference and I boost the same as b4 around 10psi
