While I did not buy JHM exhaust I did buy a JHM solid shifter and it is excellent, sorry to change the subject but can a catback exhaust cause the following codes?
    P2097
    Description:
BBPost catalyst fuel trim system too rich
    P2098
    Description:
BBPost catalyst fuel trim system too lean

I have an AWE Catback exhaust?
    S4 Oil Consumption?

    Hey Guys-

Anyone ever have problems with their xenon headlights? The headlights in my B7 S4 continue to flicker then eventually go out when driving over small bumps or when taking tight turns. Its a real pain in the ass. All I have to do is turn them off and then just throw them back on and they both fire right up leading me to believe i don't need to spend $550 on bulbs. Perhaps a lose casing/wire? Help

I'm guessing it's most likely a loose wire. Is your car still under warranty?

Will do. However 70% of the cars on the road tend to have this issue. But these cars definitely act up more than some with leake VC gaskets.

MY vc gaskets are leaking on my 04 also...the oil is spitting into my already defective coils and causing misfires atleast once a week...i hav to replace a coil every week its rediculous....along with my coolant flange leaking, i replaced my fuel pump, ac compressor, clutch, slave, pressure plate, flywheel, and the worst problem with the engine is my intake check valve in my vacuum hose has come apart cause the rpms to jump from 500 to 4000 and i lose all brakes and power...i fixed this with some duct tape lol but the main question i have is how in the hell do i get my signals to signal the correct way because when i go right it goes left and its very annoying

This is a very helpful post!!! One question:

"-Center Diff (The B6 S4 and the 05.5 B7 S4 only share the same center diff. The 06 and up B7 S4 and RS4 share the same center diff.)"

    I have a 2006 Audi S4. Does this mean I have a 4:1 center diff???

Yes the 06 is the first year of the T-3 torsen which is a 4:1 and is also in the B7 RS4.

I remember seeing a DIY for fixing the fuel tank problem. I can't fill up with out having to start the pump over and over.

This new search feature blows too, I haven't been around in a while and now I can't seem to find anything.

    TIA

Wow, any more details? Mileage on the car? Details on the warranty? Specs on the car?

Hmm, well, $2000 is not THAT much but it'll be a waste if you don't undergo at least $2k in repairs and whatnot. My car came with an extended warranty up to 100,000 miles (or 6 years). Not sure how much it cost but I just picked up my car from the dealership Friday and the repair order cost $1400 for replacing some engine mounts and valve cover gaskets (and the coilpack recall issue too). My car's got about 76,8xx miles on it too.

I actually brought it in to get my headlight fogging issue cleared up, brake grinding resolved and some other issues. Turns out, under that warranty, nothing I wanted to get done was covered under warranty. :(

And my deductible is $100. With a 50,000km car, you may not even have any issues. And, if you do, they may not even cover it. :(

    Thanks for the info :)

The engine mounts do they need to be replaced periodically? or is it something that I should ask the dealer to do before the warranty expires?

Anytime. You know, I'm not sure. I had no idea they even needed to be replaced (or the valve cover gaskets). The dealership just noticed it and, since it was under warranty, they replaced them. I don't even know what the symptoms of bad engine mounts. :(
