It has no real purpose and it's almost $200... must have it. Do you think it'll install ok with just that set screw? Don't our's have a one-time clip holding them on?

According to the ad you just need to supply pwr and ground... then run it through a learning phase where it learns where each gear is by running it through the gear pattern

Hahaha! Yeah, I have this repeated problem going 1-2-3-4-1... kidding :)
If someone had told me about this, I wouldn't have liked it... but seeing it, yeah I want it for no reason other then I think it looks kinda cool
I think this is great! I mean really you don't need one (unless of course you really are having shifting issues, which I prey for all of our sake that you dont) but it is pretty sweet... I Kinda want one.
I think the only time the display changes number is when you actually change gears.
Yes. You are correct sir.
"A revolutionary product! This universal shiftknob with LCD display is not only good for looks: it also increases driving safety and helps reduce fuel consumption by up to 15 percent by means of an adapted driving style.
This shiftknob fits all cars with manual transmissions up to 6 speeds (i.e. will work with 2sp, 3sp, 4sp, 5sp 6sp etc.)and is designed to work with every gearshift pattern.
(Does not work with cars that have gear levers with reverse gear locking mechanism). If you have to push down for reverse that is fine, what this means is that you just cannot have any type of switch that is part of your current OEM shift knob that must be switched/engaged etc. to get into the reverse gear.
A light sensor in the Indy-Cator adapts the brightness of the digital display to the surrounding light by means of an automatic dimming function, ensuring optimal readability at all times.
The connection to the cars power supply and gear assignment programming is very simple, and of course the shiftknob comes with detailed instructions for installation. It does not require wiring into the transmission, ECU or any other module of the car!
Available with red, blue or green display."
I love the the claim that it'll save gas

Oh, and for anyone who may want to know, TMTuning is the shit.
Also, if you're looking for any Euro-spec parts for your car (trunk, etc.), they can get it. They might not have it on the website, but just send them an email and they'll get back to you.
That money would be much better spent on a TIP and like someone mentioned before it would be covered most of the time. I can't find a better shift knob than the OEM, imo.
the best(read: correct) grip is clasped around the neck of any shifter. not on top of the head
that's what she said
i have a broken wrist and cannot even begin to move my pinky, let alone work the home keys. so if my posts lack grammer/punctuation and that iritates you, simply, fuck off

Got a Cupra Lip from them awhile back. Good stuff.
Wouldn't it be quite dangerous to dip your head to look at the display while you're driving? :|. Maybe this mod is more for the passenger to look at haha
It'd be cool if it could talk too... "you're in third gear, fool" <** that's the Mr.T option.
haha!
or maybe a Woody Allen one
"4th gear? oh.... now that wouldn't be my first choice. do you, now do you really think 4th gear is the optimal gear for this speed?"

eurocode out here in socal had a demo set-up they used to keep in their lobby. it's actually pretty nice looking while switching the gears. the only thing i didnt like about it is that when you have it in neutral the LEDs make a figure 8 motion.
well, mine as well whore mine... blurry night pic, but you get the idea.... I absolutely love it! Its round too, which is a must for me. I cant stand any other shape shift knob.
