    Lightbulb Interior Lighting Guide

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
OK so I've gotten a good number of PM's asking about the bulbs needed to light up the interior of our cars, so I thought I might as well make this! I've seen quite a few of these threads, and I hate to repost, but honestly none of them seem to have the correct info readily available.

Here are the lights you need and their functions:

x10 WLED 5-LED Wide Angle LED bulb- (Glovebox, footwells, under doors, and trunk)
    x4 BA9s 4-LED Bayonet Base bulb -(map lights front/back)
    x2 3910 6-LED Festoon bulb (vanity mirrors)
    x2 4211 6-LED Festoon bulb (dome lights)

(If you want to get the license plate bulbs, go here, since I don't know much about that..)

To get these, I went to Super Bright LEDs. Total it should cost only about $37 so please don't buy any kits for $100+.. Any site selling LEDs should work, this just happens to be the one I used and it works great. You can find all the lights you need at the pages under that link.
Installation is pretty easy, all you need is a flathead screwdriver to help you pop covers off. (I'll post basic pictures of this later as well if needed)

    WHITE LIGHTS
Read Me for the different white lighting

Natural White (Right/Bottom dome light) and Cool White (Left/Top dome light):
(btw the map lights are still the stock white bulbs)

    RED LIGHTS
My camera isn't very accurate though and it sort of amplified the red? Its like these pictures but not as bright at all.. But anyway still a pretty good reference of the look..

which 194 bulbs did you use the:WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb (cost 2.99)

or the:WLED-xHP5 Wedge Base Bulb (cost 5.95) i think these one's would be too long to actually fit

It looks sick and I would definitely go for it (again I'll get pictures of how red LEDs look soon)

    Does that mean you got 2, 3910's and 2, 4211's or all 4, 3910's?

Its just a personal choice, I especially like it cause my car is red..but a word of warning: you won't be able to use the lights to see... thats why I kept my vanity mirror lights white just in case. Also for anyone who does white, keep me updated (so I can add that to this thread) on what white's you went with cause there's some confusion as to what whites are the same

ya, when/if i get to do this, i would probably do the footwells red and maybe the front map lights and then leave the rear map lights, dome lights and vanity lights white that way i still have the function of being able to read in case i need to!

I wouldn't recommend mixing and matching that much. When you open the doors, the map lights, dome lights, and footwells come on, and a mix wouldn't look good.. When I first got lights, I didn't get the footwells, and it looked bad, so I ordered the rest of the lights and made everything the same. Another option you have is to get the flashlight that plugs into the cigarette lighter slot which is like $20 max..

Oh didn't realize you were looking for a reply ha. I mean I'm using them and I'm pretty sure everyone who has done this is using them. They work well I mean they are pretty bright for being red and from what I hear they last long, and definitely outlast the OEM bulbs..

I just ordered the cool whites, when I get them I'll work on getting some pictures. It may be a bit as I'm working the next couple weeks straight though :/ I don't think the WLED gave me a choice of cool white though...we'll see.

Yeah some of the lights only have one white option, while others have more. It'd be awesome if you could post those here so I can make a list of the different colors for reference for people.

I'll do my best, depends on how much time I have and if I can figure out my camera to get the best pics for reference. Just ordered them tonight though, don't know how long shipping will be.

If you can't get pictures that's fine, i know it was hard for me to get decent pictures and they don't even do real justice. At least just hit me up with how well the colors match

the kit is only 37 bucks if you order the red WLED-x4 LED bulb

not the wide angle 5-led one

i might order the 4 LED ones , the lense will disperse the light anyway

I was going to put up some pictures, but I was sent two different colored bulbs for the dome lights. I'll have to get them up after I get the correct bulbs. The LEDs do light up the interior nicely though.

After seeing that, I think I might exchange my cool whites for some natural whites (for functionality sake).
I assumed the cool whites would be in the 4000K-5000K range.

From seeing the Ziza city lights in person, I would bet the cool whites would match them the best. The ziza city lights are slightly more bluish-white then the stock xenon bulbs which are 4300K. So the ziza lights are probably somewhere between the 5500K - 10000K range.
