What do you guys think about ignition switch and oil cooler as common problems? I know there's a recall on the ignition switch (I've replaced it in both my B5's).

Can't believe no one has posted anything about turbo upgrades -- amazing.

I'm going to pull some information together and post up about superchargers for the 2.8

Re: The Audizine Wiki: B5 A4 Platform

I started to add things related to the "Common Issues", if one was to press the link. I only did the 2 that I myself have had personal experience with and it would be good to have content written if a person was to press the links under each problemtaic issue with these vehicles. Otherwise, the links are basically there for good looks.

Anyone whom knows about BBKs want to finish up that section? That is info I myself would want to know about also. Thanks!

Edit: Also added a drivetrain section, if anybody feels like filling it out?

Someone should put the engine codes on the Wiki, AEB, AWM, ATW.

Re: The Audizine Wiki: B5 A4 Platform

question. in the audi wiki b5 a4 page, under the 4:1 Torsen Differential section, it states that the stock power distribution to the wheels is 2:1, front to rear. but in the Torsen Differential Mod Thread it states the opposite.

could someone answer this for me?

I added a significant amount of info to the wiki today, mostly 2.8L info and transmission specs.

Also deleted a "torrent" statement that could have been turned into a legality issue.

Re: The Audizine Wiki: B5 A4 Platform

Someone with more knowledge about the abs module common problem should post it in the b5 a4 section. Cheap-abs.com seems to be a good solution. I am currenty fixing mine, and if no one has updated this by the time I am finished, I will.

Wow, someone needs spell check haha. I'm going through now fixing it. I also added a little info to the brake section including adding the A8+info and some Porsche info. I don't really feel like we should be putting company links to kits and such. I think just giving basic info will help such as explaining what is used or done. I think once you start putting kits, then you are basically giving said company free advertisement.

The layout used to be much better, but the upgrade to AZ has seemed to mess it up. Hopefully, it will be corrected because it looks like one big cluster f*ck. The places that have company names are there because they are the only ones whom offer them. If there is no company name, that means that there are many companies whom produce that product.

Mate you have a four cylinder engine with five valves per cylinder so 4x5= 20v

You more than likely just have an engine cover that states it's 5v. As mentioned above, you have a 20 valve engine. 5 valves per cylinder.

Seems all of the Wiki Stickies attract Spammers. Please use the "Report" feature whenever you see a Spam post so that the Mods can zap it ASAP.
