one site says its for DRL brightness. I have mine set at 140. I changed it to 180 and my DRL seemed brighter or it maybe just me..:-) Not sure what 140 represents though.... anyone?

the only way to do that is to retrofit the stalks to ones with the trip computer buttons

Another quick question I have enabled the parking light as DRLS which is awesome, but when i turn the head lights on the outer most clear lights turn off any idea how to fix this?

i am using the HEX-CAN USB CABLE with my B8 A4 2.0TFSI, i don't know why i can not get in the channel-5F, 07-control head, every times it will load 10 sec then it always show something likes"CAN plugs NOT FOUND"and when i get in the engine channel, the "08 measuring blocks" is in gray colour which i can not click. it seems something has been locked...any help??

the channel-5F, 07-control head - this is a nonsense, when you have MMI 2G nav you have 07 - control head unit, when you have MMI 3G nav you have 5F - multimedia. You can't have both, never.

Engine, you can't reach 08-measuring blocks, there are Advanced measuring ... (I don't know exactly).

Audi A4 B5 - But I want to try to wire Their folding mirrors with to activate the alarm. So when the alarm is put on and the door lock the mirrors tuck away, and when you unlock and un-arm your car the mirrors fold out again.
With VAG-COM, it is possible???

Front Turn Signals as Parking lights
[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 10 Bit 0 - Change 0 to 1

Once the change has been made you can enable the front turn signals as DRL's by making the following change

[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 2 Bit 6 - Change 0 to 1

THIS IS THE NEW CODING TO ADJUST BRIGHTNESS OF FRONT TURN SIGNALS

This will allow you to change the intensity of the Front Turn Signals when your headlights are off and are using your Front Turn Signals as parking lights/daytime running lights. By default the Front Turn Signals are only set to 35% of brightness.

[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Security Access - 16] (enter security code. One of the default codes is- 20113)
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 5
Enter new value for Front Turn Signals brightness i.e. "50" If you want LED's at 50%.

Very interesting find. I love the way the turn signals look with the parking lights I just wish they wouldn't also come on with the headlights. That's the only reason I reverted back. I was poking around trying to figure out how to get them to not come on with the headlights but I gave up...I was also trying to figure out where the coding for the CH/LH lights is. I'd like to turn off the fogs and just have the LEDs on.

It doesn't matter the time of day. If you turn the headlights on (or they come on by themselves), the turn signals will also light up as well if you do this mod.

ive been trying to get the parking lights done on my car, but it hasnt been working. Maybe im doing something wrong but now that u tell me they stay on with the headlights im gonna avoid the mod.....hopefully someone figures out how to do that

yeah, quite similar though that´s for the previous generation of radios, on our cars it´s pretty much like a SCREENSAVER, it pops up few seconds after you touch radio or media buttons...and the good thing is that it has a selectable menu to turn it on and off

No, it apears as a menu in radio or media setup, together with the information about the software version,language menu and some others, but now you mention it I don´t know if it works with miles an hour,it really should cause this is for adapting these cars for driving schools...anyway it´s worth a try, no big deal to do:just a simple adaptation change you can undo if it doesn´t suit you...cheers

It also works with MPH when you select the MPH instead of km/h. another good thing: This "screensaver" changes its colour dependent on the menu you chose before. I.e. green for telephone, red for setup, blue for info and orange for radio/media....

Exactly,Horchamol, I´ve just checked this morning that it changes color from green-blue -to orange...I´ve also posted it on your German forum but I didn´t know you already found it,why didn´t you post it before? It´s really cool!!

This is a really useful mod. I tried this out this morning and I actually prefer being able to read the speed in the MMI. I noticed that the digital speedometer in the DIS doesn't always agree with the MMI especially during acceleration (I think the two screens just don't update in sync). Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Probably because you have a nav. I think the original poster said it works with chorus, concert, and symphony. There's probably an adaptation somewhere that would make it work for you but I think that your module 56 is just completely different than the non mmi.

How can you even get into module-56??? You have nav, which means that the standard radio system (56-radio) does not exist...
