I tried a while back to get the battery meter working with my '09 non Nav symphony without success (maybe I did it wrong, but...)
Last night I was poking around and found you can enable it by going to 56 - Radio, Adaptation, then select "Car menu Options 1". Ross-Tech has some help for the values ** you should be able to add 16 to what you now have to enable the battery menu under "CAR". I went from 65519 to 65535 and it enabled the battery level meter. Looks like 65535 should enable everything, Ambiance lighting, Adaptive cruise, etc that I don't have, but so far nothing seems wrong ** the menus for things I don't have just don't show up.
awesome!

Is there a possibility to activate the underseat LEDs when the doors are closed? I like the look of my LED interior and want to activate them while I'm driving. Is it possible via VAGcom?

When driving a loaner Q7 i noticed while driving the lights were on underneath the seat/foot area. It really looked nice so perhaps there is a code for this

It is not possible on a B8 - you need the extended lighting pack, which only the A6 (4f), A8 and Q7 has.
You will also get lights on the inside of the doors with the extended pack, and the dimmning are controled in MMI.

I have got the extended light pack, but they only shine when the doors are open! I want them to shine when I'm driving! And most of time I'm driving with the doors closed so I hope there's a VAGcom-code for...

No, you don't have the extended lighting pack - only the 'normal' one
The light I talk about on the inside of the doors, are like the photo below, and it can be controlled with MMI (the dimming level), so it will light up while driving together with the lights under the seats, and in the front Foot Well

I spent a lot of time trying just about every value on the MMI to see if I could get anything to work and nothing made a difference, so I know the MMI is not the key to making something like that work. It has to be in a control module and per Rene most likely an optional module we don't have.

You need to find the units used on e.g. the A6 (4F) if you want to retrofit it on a B8 - and the coding - and find a dealer who WILL help you with the removel of the component protection.

lol scotty--these guys are talking about the existing footwell lights (the dim blue ones) being on while you ride. not adding 50 LEDs under the seat.
sweet multi-spoke stock 17"s | 20% tint | crackfiller | few scratches where I closed the garage door on the bumper | 4x4 ride height | matte black hood | di-noc CF interior trim | plasti-dipped parts | pirated vag-com | 50lbs of sound equipment | couple of small stone chips on the hood | APR stg 1 | RS-Mesh Grille
Scotty let me give you a perfect example of why this is useful...
on my trip down to florida in December, my girlfriend dropped her cellphone to the floor on the passenger side at night... with the map light on she still wasnt getting enough light to see down there. So I pulled over to the side of the road, as soon as she opened her door and the footwell light came on, she was able to see the phone and pick it up...
I shouldn't have to stop the car, force her to open the door in order to see to pick something up off the floor. In almost every other car i've owned I could turn on floor lighting with the dome light.

Does anybody know if it´s possible to see outside temperature in the MMI screen? Don´t know why but mine only shows the inside temperature (climate unit). It would be nice not to be telling everybody inside my car all the time about how hot/cold is outside...
I must be blind.. i went through the first 10 pages and cand find it.
1. What's the instruction for having the LED DRLS at full brightness with headlight on?
2. How/What button on the key do you have to press to have the windows roll up / down?

Lock button rolls them up and unlock rolls them down. When I did mine they didn't work right away. I had to make them available via the MMI for some reason.

Do you have to hold the button?
What MMI screen do you have to go into?

Can anybody tell me something about this? any clues??
Can anybody tell me something about this? any clues??
I have to side with Nputer on this one, most likely not something that can be done. They system would be capable of it but the sending ECU would need to be configured to send it to the MMI and the MMI would need programing to display it.
Usually the first tip off to a lot of us with some of the unknown or inactivated features is that another model has it. It doesn't always mean we can to but it gives a basis for you to start the research. You'll find almost all the mods and tricks found and done are based on an already available know feature or another car in the Audi family that has it like the recent ambiance light.
I recommend you check on some other models. If you hit one that has it then we start from there, like what modules they have and if VCDS has noted the feature in the software for that model giving us a starting point to search for it.
Sorry not the answer your looking for but maybe you can research it a bit and see what you find.

Not an answer you can use - but you'll get the outside temperature in the non-MMI system... it is not a full screen display, only one on the bottom line.

sorry, i'm new to the whole vag com thing. but how do i go about trying to use these codes and modify my cars settings? i tried to look but there isnt anything that clearly explains it.
any help would be greatly appreciated! i have a b8 a4. thx.
Hi Guy´s .. first of all a big hello from Germany .. My name is Markus , i drive a A4 8K Avant ..
i have also prog. my car with VAG Com .. but now i´m looking for a solution fpr the CH/LH function.
On my old Cars , it was possible to activate the function .. doesn´t matter if Light sensor is installed or not. On my Touran , on my Seat Alea , on my Golf 4 and so on .. But not on my Audi .. I work for EMC² Germany , so our customer is also Audi in Ingolstadt .. so i went to the devolpers and try to Ask , but they only tell me .. You need an Light switch with Auto function and a Light sensor. But i wont belive it to 100 % .. So i try .. i can successfully activate the LH/CH function on MMI .. but nothing happend .. then i "activate" the Light sensor .. Result : Error Light sensor ! on FIS ..
Logic :
if LH/CH is enabled on MMI
if Lightswitch is on Auto
if Lighsensor detects : dark
if remote control is pushes open .. Leaving home will be enabled
if you leave the car
if the Switch is on Auto
if its dark
if you press the lock button from your rc : lights will be glow as per definable time at mmi.
Thats the theory ..
No we have to find a solution to "say" the system , that a Light Sensor is installed , it´s dark and log no error. And Override the Auto Position on the Light Switch ..
Sorry for my poor english .. i hope you understand my words.
