Not sure if I like that. Its gonna get cluttered with useless and/or incorrect info.

So u have finally joined AZ with ur new ride and u wanna show off ur stockness and ask the same questions as every other newb:
- What suspension should i get?
- Why does my car misfire and have a CEL flash?
- Which Chip to get?
- Should i go K04 or Big Turbo?
- Which body kit should i get?
- What tint should i get?
- How do i CC mod my headlights?
- What HID kit should i get?
- What can be done to a CVT?
- Should i run 91 or 93?
- What exhaust should i get?
- What tires are best?
- Should i get 18s or 19s?
- What mods can i do to a 3.0?
- What do i need to upgrade to B5 S4 brakes?
- What brake upgrades are there?
- What rotors/pads should i buy?
- Are stainless steel lines worth it?
- Will a USP or S4 bumper fit the A4?
- What navigation should i get?
- Should i get a carbon fiber hood?
- Should i buy a dog?
- Should i eat all of my food now or save half for later?
-......
These type of questions have all been answered a minimum of 20-30 times in 20-30 different threads.
Here are the searching instructions:
-Click the search tab under ur PM box
-type in a keyword or phrase(don't be too detailed that nothing comes up, but don't be so general either)
- try using in thread titles only rather than in all posts option, because if u search exhaust then everyone who has exhaust in their sig will pop up with all the threads they replied in.
- BE PATIENT!!! don't hustle through everything and skip to page 3 and click one thread, not find ur answer and make a new thread. Search one by one!
- CHECK the OBVIOUS!!! sometimes 2-3 threads of the same topic are created on the same page, because people do not search U WILL GET FLAMED!!!
- Do not neg. rep someone, because they told u too search. Also, don't neg. Rep someone because they have an opinion unless it is purely offensive and insulting.
If none of the above work, try a search engine like google:
- type in ur phrase with Audi A4 or B6 Audi A4 at the end and read
- If no results show up, try changing ur search phrase to be more general, or more detailed, play with the words until u find a match.
- So if u want parts, or wand to buy an item, or spotted somebody, or are selling something, go to the classifieds and ur local forum farther down the list.
- Some places to find parts:
- Ebaymotors.com
- ECStuning.com
- Genuinevwaudiparts.com
- ecodetuning.com
- pelicanparts.com
- lltek.com
- Google for others
If none of the above worked for u and u r frustrated and no matter what u do u can't find ur answer, then and only then make a thread.
Cheers
-Kirk

Gotcha. That should work.
I do like the lay-out. Its cleaner to read than the big post you made in the FYI thread.
I'll have to add some stuff to it then.
Is the DIY section moving into the WIKI or staying up top in the main B6 A4 forum?

All of that plus the fact that people who mess around will expose their account to sanctions which could potentially lead to the termination of their account.
There is no 3.0 love
Hopefully there will be a nice way to create DYI pages, it would be easier to edit one page on wiki than SEARCH hundreds of posts.
if nobody else is already working on it i'll type up unitronic info. i don't wanna start on a sub-article if someone else is already halfway there though.

There can - and hopefully will be - 3.0 love. That's the great thing about a community based Wiki, it's all user generated. It will constantly be growing and evolving.
Also, the Wiki would work great for DIYs as you can directly upload images rather than linking to ones offsite.
This is very nice... I can see myself referencing it time and again.
It does need Unitronic info, as well as Apikol SMIC and a section on bushings and bearings, water/methanol injection, various coil packs (Hitachi E-R, STI, Bremi, Beru), approved fluids list and specs, etc.
Links? 1/4 mile database, dyno charts to represent various set ups? Will there be a page for old school too? *coughCQcough* Just tossing out ideas.
Overall, though, top shelf effort and presentation. This is going to be a veritable treasure trove of information.
