Re: RAI Motorsport Introductory and Specials

I just bought my first S4 (Yay!!!!!) and I am looking for a local shop to take it to. I think I found it ( U guys), but I have 2 questions. Are these specials all the time or were they for a limited time offer kinda thing?

Also do you guys sell DP's?

    Thanks guys

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

What's the recommended mileage for doing the 1.8T timing belt service? I may need to get that done before having you chip my car.

Most people here generally do the tb around 70k for 1.8t's. The belts on them are known for premature failure.

Hey fellas, some of you might remember me, I had a monty green Mk2 with black wheels, a big cam and megasquirt. I'm at the Sunday canton gtg most weeks. I stopped by the shop a while back and bs'd for a bit. Anyway, I just sold the Mk2 last week, and picked up a black canadian B6 A4 Avant and I need to get my temp tag off. Are you guys an inspection station? I already know it needs a left front wheel bearing and the brakes need to be bled (the right way). I stopped by on my way to work this morning around 8:15, but you weren't open yet. I'll call a little later to see what's up.

Sorry I didn't make it over there. The avant I bought is going back to the dealer tomorrow and I'll be back on the prowl for another one. It turns out that the one I bought has more issues than I feel like dealing with (bent frame, body work). Anybody sellin a B6/7 Avant, 6 speed w/ cold weather pkg?

Because they are going to be upgrading my car from the boring, old K03 to a brand spanking new CTS GT28RS eliminator kit. Should make my daily driver much more fun.

Down the road, what drop in rods do you guys recommend? How about a clutch? I plan on running the OEM clutch until it dies out from normal driving. No launches on this baby. Trying to squeeze miles out of her.

    http://www.ctsturbo.com/catalog/Sout...cing-65-1.html

Which of those SB clutches would you choose for the GT28RS eliminator application running a 3" straight pipe exhaust that will see a handful of launches per year at the track if that.

Thanks and greatly awaiting October 19th or I may drop the car off the Friday the 16th to make things move a little faster (get that ecu out to the canucks so they can du werk)

I see on your website that you do 2.0T carbon cleaning service for $150 which I'm assuming is like the BG three bottle cleaning. Do you do initial manifold-off cleaning for already crusty valves? I have an 05.5 Avant now that just clicked 100k and is showing the symptoms. How much and how long will it take?

yep $150, doesn't take too long but I would give yourself an hour or two just in case the techs are working on something

I just bought a 2004 D3 Audi A8L. It has roughly 70k miles on it so I think it is due for the timing belt service. Since I bought it preowned, I do not have any maintenance records. Is there a way you can tell if the timing belt has been changed?

Also, I've noticed that 2nd - 3rd gear shift is a little bit rough. From what I heard, this is a known problem for the A8s. Is it due for a transmission flush?

Finally, Are you guys open on the weekend? You are 1.5 hours away from me, so it would be hard for me to take off work. I am hoping you guys can complete the transmission flush and timing belt service in a day.

Right now RAI Motorsport is having $800 timing belt install special. This includes all parts, timing belt, water pump, tensioners and pulleys, also includes an RAI Motorsport Kevlar timing belt for 06A engines.

Please call to schedule an appointment.

We are open on Saturdays, but it might be hard to get the timing belt and trans flush done in one day. We have to remove the whole front end to replace the timing belt.
