Ticking sound coming from drivers front wheel/suspension area

I had new tires put on about a week ago (235/40/18 RE-01Rs) and I noticed a ticking/tapping sound at lower speeds coming from the drivers side front. I took the wheel off and checked for any rocks in the tires, loose brake parts and I cleaned the wheel and hub before I put it back on. The noise is less pronounced but its still there. Anyone have a clue? Could it be suspension related? The sound gets faster/slower with the speed of the car.

I also checked the tire for abrasion in case I was rubbing somewhere and couldnt see anything. I think it might be a brake caliper or suspension issue.

That kind of noise is typically associated with wear in the CV joint... does it change at all if you turn left and right? Are your CV boots torn on that side?

It could be a lot of things, but whatever it is, you should have the car looked at by a certified technician soon. If it's something like a tie-rod, it could be supremely dangerous if it goes while you're driving.

CV joints, tie-rod, control arms, ball joints, brake calipers, wheel bearings; it's hard to say, since there's so much there. I'd get it checked out asap.

i think mine does it because the wheel bearing is bad.

i just replaced the brakes and checked the suspension and everything. i know my wheel bearing is bad

CV joint, or wheel bearing, etc....does it go away when you touch the brake pedal?

I have a very similiar sound from my left front tire area. Its sounds like a metal tapping sound (ting, ting ,ting) at slow speeds (less than 25mph) and then goes away. Happens when going straight or turning.

If a wheel bearing, should this be covered under a full extended warranty?

i dont know if they would cover it or not. they might look at it as a normal wear item like brake pads.

    just call and ask

no but seriously. if it was your tie rod you would be able to rotate your tire (like pull with one hand and push with the other) and you would hear it click.

I mean i know i was suppose to change my control arms but i didnt( doing that tmrw ). Its a weird sound when i hit the brakes sounds like maybe a rubber boot but only at slow speeds u could slightly hear it .. and when i turn the wheel all the way to the right it makes a sqeak noise ... not the powersteering noise but something rubbing. All i do know is that i ran into some crrrrrrrrazy potholes and bent my wheels twice in a week hmm...
