Official Columbus Thread!
Well we kinda had one going, but it wasn't Official if you know what I mean. Looks like the rain will be most of this whole week. So I think Thursday it is going to be clear if some people want to meet up, but I wouldn't beat on it just yet. I'm not sure what day I'm doing the wedding registry for yet another store, but I did tell the woman I would go to that. So anytime Thursday or Friday during the day I can meet up for whatever. I do need to get this key problem worked out with a vag com if someone wants to bring that.

From what I saw this morning it is going to rain Wensday, Friday, Saturday, and maybe snow/rain mix Sunday... After that the iPhone doesn't go passed that. So Thursday would be good if you don't have to drive anywhere those other days.

Have you been on OPlates.com trying different things. It took me a while to find something I want. I'm thinking of ordering a Euro plate from ebay with IV RINGS on it too. I don't think that I would put it on the car.

I would love to help, but time is very short for me, and I'm still learning the A4.

Well the first time you see mine it is going to make you want to waste them. If you get the new plate don't you get a new sticker for the plate? I just hate that the newer plates are just flat and not a pressed look.

Dude, I was driving through Columbus in my Red '07 A4 a few months back and saw your IVRINGS plate. Awesome! By the way, mine has enemy plates as I am a Buckeye grad living up north.

Glad you liked it! Do you remember where we where? I hope the car was clean and looking nice for you. Maybe next time you can honk or get me to look over. I always wonder if other drivers know my plate when they see it. I know one one local that has tried to get as close to it as they can. I'm going to try to get another set of plates before they switch them over to the new ones the gov's wife made. I still don't get why would we let her make those.

Does anyone know someone with a Black 2.0T Quattro that was looking for tires yesterday? Had a custom plate that must only mean something to them. Let me know...

OldYella I found your twin today! It was over by Mike's place at a Taco Bell, and I saw it with those stock wheels and the front tag really low on the front end. So I think that is the car me and Mike keep thinking is you. Also I saw a light Blue A4 with the S4 chrome grill lowered on TSW wheels at Wal-Mart off 23 North of 750. Also guys I switched up my profile name too to match everything since I'm so new it wouldn't matter.

Re: Official Columbus Thread!
I'm probably not going to do it for another couple weekends but I've been working on my car ever since I got it 2 years ago so I know it pretty well. I just figured I could make some friends outside of work since i've only been here for 2 and a half months. I could get guys from work to help me but they are all either American Muscle freaks or Honda nerds and wouldn't appreciate the work as much as a fellow Audiziner. I work at Honda R&D in Marysville JFYI

Are you worried about the warranty or what? You B7 guys can get about 290 ftlb of sweet low-down torque with an APR or REVO chip. It makes your car feel so much faster.

ok, I need to call them about the upgrade anyway. I forgot, I also want to take some more metal out of the bumper support so it will fit better. Right now, it is hitting my FMIC on the passenger side. would a dremel be strong enough to cut through the aluminum? I'll need to pick one up

can't make it.... but on the chip note, i am worried about the warranty... I get the car serviced at MAG and I feel like they are dicks there and won't be cool with it... I'm personally a huge fan of Byer's, but MAG a couple minutes away... I also worry about engine life... i mean I hear about people blowing DVs which isn't hard to replace but i also hear about blowing turbos.. which doesn't sound appealing

^ I know right... I would put it up on CR that I got them back, but I don't want to start another thread that I will have to hear Rich Kid BS about not having nice cars to put them on. I guess when your first car is a BMW you always will be to good for he rest of us.

^Just remember just cause you are chipped doesn't mean you have to drive like it. If you are driving the car more as a daily car you want to last just don't floor it to much and you should be fine. I know I'm going to be looking into chipping towards the end of the summer after I get the wedding stuff paid for.
