Where do you get this estimate from!? I'm still looking to see more info on that valve, and I do remember it being called that (dcv). That list only showed bimmers though, either there is another list or bmw was the only manufacturer that made them.

Absolutely not. If you have the heads and are dropping them off, the price is 3K for the headwork alone. Just FYI. Having issues with it though, I am NOT properly tuned.

I made it up based on my knowledge that most port and polishes cost 5 figures. I guessed it was realistic, given that I've heard you have to drop the motor to get the heads off anyway. The price assumed you didn't have the heads off out of the car already.

As I said, it was a guess. Chill, bro - I'm not going to get offended if somebody tells me I'm wrong.

But most people aren't carrying their cylinder heads around... they're on the car.

I didn't mean it like that. I don't know what they cost, and if they did I would never get them done. That just seemed like an insane amount of cash for it, that's all. Better off getting a s/c in that case.

Hey Jay, did you get a measured gain with the lightweight pulley - measured in rpms/sec. Was the lw pulley as good as the lw front rotors, the front piggie pipe mod, the jhm tune and/or lighter wheels?

Thanks, and time estimate to install the pulley? Anything else to replace while installing the lighter pulley?

Re: Lightweight pulley installed and Intake spacers..

I'M interested in getting the pulley as well. The L/W crank pulley has worked wonders for many other cars would love to see it work wonders for us as well. When do you think this will be fully released?
    Thanks for the write up

I think the pulley will be ready in a month or two. I am not sure on the price jay would have to comment on that. This should free up some power.

My 75K service is coming up real soon and i would like to get my hands on this L/W Pulley so i can give it to my service tech and have them change it out when they change out my serpentine belt.

Well hopefully everything will be good to go once they finalize it. It should be about a month or so i would think. But then i would wait for JHM to comment on the release of it though.

Did you get the car back yet? What did they find to be wrong with it?

The most recent update is this...they are blaming the trans on my driving! Pure coincidence that the clutches are burnt out due to me driving the car for 5 minutes after I pick it up from a 7K job? Nah! Still my tranny fluid is black as night and they are dropping the pan this morning to see if its bad. I have been doing alot of reading on this subject and trying to learn about the car mechanically. Came across a warning that seemed to fit the symptoms I am having. When they dropped my trans, obviously the torque convertor moved forward, and had to be put back togther EXACTLY 19MM from the housing edge. I am assuming the did not do this, and caused the ATF pump to blow. In that case however, the car wouldn't move. Now they gave me a free ECU because they tried to reload stock settigns for the surging issue, but when they did that, the ECU blew (I am not responsible for that)

They are putting in another claim with the warranty company for a new transmission from Audi. I will be wihtout the car for the next couple weeks.

I don't know EXACTLY what the issue it, but my opinion, this dealership is raping me hard. I feel like a little school girl right now. &K out do far, with the trans being 5250.00 (just for the unit) then approx 10.9 hours of labor, do the math and I could have traded this car in for the RS4 easily with the payment difference. Its a shame that it seems to be no reputable dealerships in the city area, but hey i learned. I am trying to move on and learn from my mistakes. Lookign for a B5 project car right now and have some leads. Just got a call for a 2001 Black on black one owner with 58K at an aution this morning listed starting bid is 9K!! I hope he can get it for me for 11K and then the real fun begins.

When I know more about my issue I will definitely update you though. I like to keep the community updated. Sorry for the long arse post!

Although the R8 is appealing I would have to get rid of every other car I have to afford it! Its also not a good daily driver from NJ to Midtown every day!!

TO update those that asked, the problem with my car was my TRANSMISSION. I have a funny feeling that the dealer did something wrong AGAIN, because I did not have any trans issues before they did my timing chains, and other issues. Basically I am getting a new powertrain installe dint he car. The couple of things NOT replaced were the BLOCK, the CAMS, PISTONS (and other internals) but the heads are ported now, intake spacers on, new ECU (have to get Jay to flash it for me) and the pulley is on. Since all that was done, I have driven the car about twice and then it went back to Audi. HOPEFULLY I am getting it back this week. then I will dyno and drop jay his money for the headers OR nitrous. Thats it. I like Jay's plate design. Definitely a work of art with distribution the way it is.

One question I have is.....what to do with the intake spacers when the plate goes in? I dont think we have enough clearance for the intake spacers and the nitrous plate. Jay can correct me if I am wrong.

    I NEED MY CAR BACK!

Sorry to hear about your luck with the Stealership. If your spacers are looking for a new home, I think I can accommodate you.

YESSSSS car will be back next week early!! I miss that beyatch so much. Driving a M35X right now and the wife has my loaner (a3 2.0T) which is nice, but not for me. Front wheels spin too much on launch. (its not quattro)

YAY me. I will post a quick video of me doing some runs when i get it back, but I think it wise for me to break the tranny in for a couple of days first.
